I don't really know how popular or unpopular this opinion is but I think Finn and Jake are the best duo there's been in cartoons in recent memory.

What were people expecting out of Samurai Jack's Season 5 ending? Some big giant 5 part battle where Jack and Aku have the fiercest fight of their lives with choir singing and shit? The original show was a bad guy of the week serial where occasionally Gennedy went back to the plot itself. No Ashi Wasn't perfect, nor was the ending perfect, but it was good for me, and I'm glad to see it end.

Also 2 deep lore driven cartoons are too many these days, I think it's time for them to end so we can go back to more chill cartoons.

Samurai Jack's ending was awful but I loved it simply because it finally gave me what I wanted, Jack killing Aku.

I just read the entire Injustice comic book (for the first game at least, the prequel thing). I am aware it is an Elseworld title, and yet even with that knowledge, it is one horrible, horrible mess. Poorly written, characters change their behaviour by an 180 from issue to issue, the only good thing is that all women have tits the size of basketballs. How anyone could have liked this is beyond me.

All ongoing comics are bad. Marvel, DC it doesn't matter they all suck. The art is hideous and the stories are terrible. The only passable stuff is Batman: Year One and the Watchmen etc

Not only is it a good thing that physical comic book sales are down and the industry is in trouble, I welcome it. Superhero comics should only be released as longer-form books with self-contained stories instead of ongoing serials.

After the April Fools thing I've been thinking what would have happened in Hiro made Comics and Manga and either Animation or just threw all Anime, Cartoons and TV into one thing. I imagine the prior would start off strained but eventually keep to their threads, but I'm not sure about either case of the latter.

/tv/ accepts some stuff like anime movies like GitS, "mainstream" anime like Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, etc and cartoons like Simpsons but I'm not sure if they'd tolerate the full brunt. I'm unsure if I've even seen a Toku thread there, I think for something like Godzilla maybe but not Kamen Rider.
With /tv/ and live action out of the equation though I can't say whether Anime, Mecha and Cartoons would get along. In a way a common oppressor like the tv and movie snob would make them band together, without that they'd like turn on each other.

The subculture interaction of 4chan is really something.

SJ's finale was horrid and I fail to understand why anyone likes it, unless they didn't go in expecting anything of notable quality. We get a bunch of trash cameos against Aku instead of fucking Jack, like it should be, the power of love trope was executed so poorly that it felt straight out of a fanfiction, Aku's death wasn't satisfying, Ashi's asspull Aku powers were fanfic-tier writing, and Jack getting back to the past occurred in like 6 seconds and wasted 5 seasons' worth of buildup for some rushed shit.

I can barely excuse 7 and 8's objectively poor quality if the finale was good, but it just ended up being the worst out of the unholy trio.
