Darkseid would absolutely curbstomp Thanos in a fight.
Nope. Thanos is sometimes a protagonist while Darkseid is only ever a villain. Thanos wins by default because the story would be told in a Thanos book and not a Darkseid one.

Thanos has subconscious desire to be defeated.
Darkseid has to have somebody come along and kick his ass in order to stopped

except thanos literally has plot armor that makes him lose, even if it means self sabotaging.
how else are you gonna lose a cosmic cube by causing an earthquake?

>how else are you gonna lose a cosmic cube by causing an earthquake?
Because that was an Electric Company comic for very young readers
Do people honestly think that shit or Doom tooting on that Atlantian horn are from actual comics?

>plot armor
>makes you lose
I don't think you know how armor works
Unless Thanos wears this.

Thanos can absorb energy. Point-blank, period. The Omega Beams are energy, so as shit a character as Thanos is he would win because of power creep.

Were you expecting disagreement?

So what? Darkseid still wins.
Is the Anti-Life Equation still about the complete cessation of free will? Morrison's stuff with Darkseid made it seem more like he wanted to end the universe or something, which is frankly a much more played out idea for a villain

You god damn right I do.

Jury's still out on this one for me. I used to think Thanos would stomp, then I started actually reading DC. However, Thanos is no chump. He quite regularly fucks up guys like Silver Surfer. Well he used to anyway, I don't know anymore. I kinda stopped reading Marvel around Secret Wars. They like to shoe-horn Thanos into everything these days when a character like the High Evolutionary or the Magus would suffice. Gotta get those movie bucks I suppose.
