The only thing that keeps him from being objectively the worst Robin is Jason and Steph getting themselves killed. Oh wait. Damian did that too. And crippled.

In the long run, Damian's position is pretty precarious. His existence ages Bruce in ways the previous Robins don't, and now they're letting Damian himself get older. That's probably not sustainable.

If he's lucky, he'll get to grow up into a separate identity of his own like the other Robins. If he's not lucky, he'll get killed off again. They milked the pathos out of dead Jason for ages, it'll be hard for them to resist using Damian the same way in the future. After all, they can always make a new Robin. Time has proven that Robin is replaceable.

It's very much a fact, but Batman fans can't see it. They CAN see what a piece of shit Damian is, but the suggestion that Batman is the same upsets them. His popularity stems only from 90's animated series nostalgia and one good comic, Killing Joke. Because of those things the Burton movies were made, and he's been coasting ever since. Batman Begins was decent, Dark Knight is overrated, and Rises was crap. He even got an Assassin's Creed reskin series and no one called it out for what it was, because muh Batman. WAKE UP.
