Osamu Tezuka was inspired by classic Disney, Western creators like Genndy Tartakovsy and Craig McCracken created cartoons that emulated Japanese tropes and aesthetics, and then Studio Gainax created an anime inspired by anime-influenced cartoons (Panty and stocking), and now shows like Steven Universe and Regular Show mix cartoony character designs with the framing and visual cues of anime.

It's pretty much impossible to find a western cartoon that doesn't have any anime influence.

The best animation we've seen in the whole Avatar franchize was the finale battle of ATLA season 3 and the pilot episode of LoK season 1 and that is about on par with any average tv battle shounen anime.
