Kids love dogs, cool vehicles and idolise rescue services, it understandable a show meshing all three would do well.

most families make it a point to make sure children know that police, fire, etc are "heroes" so many children idolize them because they perceive their parents doing so too. Early childhood education/daycare services do the same thing; when I was part of a local Summer Camp for young kids, they did a lot with police/fire with like Safety Town and coloring sheets featuring them, etc
