The GSR itself doesn't have any true powers beside gravity control, interplanetary flight, using it's own energy into laser weapons, and scanning capabilities for documenting everything and anything on a planet.

It's also called the Matoran Universe, because it's only meant for the Matoran and their overseers/repairmen to operate the GSR.

Although yeah, the show is not exactly consistent when it comes to the Diamond Authoriy and space travel. The fixation on warp pads in the early show suggested that the Gems actually didn't do FTL travel but rather relied on warp stations that had to be established beforehand, so keeping the warps broken would have stopped Homeworld from getting back to Earth without serious effort. But then they turn out to have FTL ships anyway.

Do we have any idea as to whether the show got renewed for another season or not? Because it might just be that the upcoming marathon could be it for the show. Meaning it could very well end without our ever even seeing White Diamond.

Xenos can't spawn with gems, because gems don't have traditional biological bodies. They could probably toss an egg in, but it would come out a blank xeno when it bursts. This is assuming the gem doesn't just get rid of the egg immediately anyway, because their bodies are just compressed light. They could potentially just self poof and the egg would fall out, also.

You got me on the poofing bit, but I don't exactly see this fight being a quick loss for the xeno. Remember, were talking contesting for earth. There's a absolute fuckton of creatures that can still be infected. Combine that with the fact that queens are telepathic, highly intelligent and highly adaptive and pit that against gems superior tech but general unwillingness to adapt and you're looking at a serious(ly acidic) bloodbath. On a semi-related note, I'm now imagining an infected human ending up in the zoo. If those buttercups couldn't handle rejection I can't even begin to think of how they'd react to the sheer amount of carnage that would come from the birthing and an alien running amok.

The acid blood would do the Xenomorphs literally zero good against Gems, and that's for real the only plus I can see them even being argued to have. I sincerely doubt the intelligence enough of a Xenomorph to realize they'ld have to go after the stone to actually kill a gem.

So let me lay this out, right? xEnos come and try to impregnate gems. Gems figure it out after a single birth and alter their bodies to disallow it OR the birth never even succeeds and they just ignore facehuggers, because they're completely pointless in this fight. Gem bodies are composed of pure light, and their only vulnerable place is their stone. Acid blood could possibly burn a stone (I think? assuming a healer wasn't present in the event that it could), but after realizing Xenomorphs posses acidic blood the Gems would have no reason to continue putting ground forces forward that rely on blades. Considering at least half their armed forces are made up of blunt force weaponizers, this is a pretty big boon. Some gems have been shown to be incredibly strong, tossing entire space ships around, I have no doubt they could blunt force trauma a Xenomorph into death.

Beyond that, Gems also posses bubbling powers. It would be stupid easy to just beat Xenos into submission and then bubble them. This all kind of hinges on the idea that gem biology would bee too difficult a concept for Xenomorphs to grasp, mind you. But I'm also ignoring things like gems being able to survive in the vacuum of space and possessing shape shifting powers on the fly. Not to mention giants.

Assuming the gems were doing nothing to stop the destruction of native Earth species (home world gem armies), I find it pretty likely they'ld be able to out survive and out fight the Xenomorph species as a whole. Every gem poofed comes back within hours if not minutes to just keep fighting at full strength. They can both replace soldiers fast, but Xenos need biological resources.

But Gems are literal light and have been shown to be able to just absorb light into their bodies to increase their own energy (fusion). Also, I wouldn't be surprised if gems were fire proof, too. And if the force of the super nova is gravity oriented I can't imagine a race who's bodies shape shift automatically to all environments gravity would actually be in too much pain from a huge blast of it. Hell, if it's normal force and it's just a huge blast, the worse case scenario is a poof and then res. Light based powers like lasers or rays would have a pretty hard time combating literally living gem stones wrapped in solid light, I would assume.

The Stroggs should have no problem taking over. They might not be able to recycle the gems the same way they do with humans but they could always experiment on fallen gems and find a way.

Not to mention they come both with melee and long distance variants and their weapons can go from ballistic to energy based to rockets. I bet the railgun could easily shatter just about any gem and that shit is pinpoint accurate. The might have failed to take over earth but I am sure they would have no problem fighting against Homeworld.

Not really. It produces a heat that can be comparable to a solar explosion, it can also cut or "punch" with kinetic force depending on what the user wants. That is enough fire power to destroy star systems or simply elevate temperatures that can be hotter than the sun.

A kryptonian would only need to focus (microscopic vision included) on the target (in this case the gem) and fire with enough precision to shatter it or cut it.

Or move at Massive FTL speeds and rip the stone from the bodies, although this is something only a few would do. Zod would totally do it.

Kryptonians are VERY Op.
