He's more of a style over substance kind of guy but god damn does he have style. His talent is from getting very basic idea's and somehow elevating them to something interesting and almost feel fresh, even when in reality their not.
That said we've never really seen him write something truly substantial, even Samurai Jack season finale, while decent, had an awkward pace that felt more like he was just trying the get the whole show over with as quickly as possible.

Pretty damn bad, don't listen to these fuckers. Samurai Jack only worked because it was episodic and the priority entertainment was the animation, visuals, tone, and fight scenes/choreography. The problems were obvious with Season 5's story arc format.
