I have the same issue with the show, but it's not based on Reddit's reactions so much as millenials in general. Every pseudo-intellectual I've known bandwagons on praising the show because they think it makes their thought process deep by association. It's usually peeps who didn't grow up with past iterations of "THE cartoons for smart people" like Futurama too, so it pains me to see these snowflakes everywhere thinking they were born into the best era of animation.

Anyways, I actually like the show, but I feel a lot of second-hand embarassment mentioning it anywhere, and I often feel like contributing to the show's success and popularity equally contributes to the entitlement and complacency of the kind of kids I mentioned above. I know it's dumb and inconsequential to feel that way about the show, but hell, when I watch it, I can't help myself but to think of every dropout I knew from high school that started seeking intellectual validation after working deadend jobs for years. There's so fucking many of them into the show that it just hurts to watch by association no matter how much I distance myself from the connection.
