This wasn't really an ending.
It was more of a tease of what the series finale might've looked like. I liked this comic especially the Quest For The Broken Blade story arc. I feel like the show handled the Sword=Jack's innocence plot very well. But the comic had Aku find out right away and the way Jack got his sword back was really cool. The gods got pissed at him so they put him through several tests to truly earn his sword. I was hyped for the show to tell this story but they made Jack make tea instead. I like both desu and the tea scene was cool because Jack fought his rage. Still a scene of Jack fighting against the gods without his sword was definitely a missed opportunity.

I liked both endings, any old anon here know how /co/ reacted to it back in the day? did they liked or did they hated it as much as the new ending?

If I have to guess based in how people have been reacting now I guess half of the board would be pissed that he didn´t went back to the past wondering why the guardian wasn´t included and the other half will be pissed that they cut before the final battle.

can you even begin to imagine the butthurt the entire internet would have if the show cut off before the aku fight
the ending isnt perfect buts its nice closure to the series

Both endings are good

I like the philosophy of the comic
I like how things feel more resolved in the show
