Eugenics doesn't really fit either because the Dammakhert isn't actually genetic. Outside of its influence, they're all, except the golds, like the rest of the continent. I think most like the Crescians, but I don't recall. It is lineage based inside Alderode, but it's not really genetic and you can't breed for a certain trait or anything like that. You just get all the caste's traits in a bundle and get an entirely different cast with its own bundle of traits if you intermix, unless you're only doing it between two adjacent ones.

I don't remember how Golds factor in to this.

Derp, I probably caused some confusion because I mistook Coppers and Bronzes. Bronze is the middle Caste considered to be indistinct and the mixture of other Castes. Copper is one of the "upper" castes that gets longevity.

I know I've seen an image of the Castes and how interbreeding works with the Castes, but I can't find it. It has something to do with the resulting child being of the closer to Bronze caste of the couple if they're on the same side of Bronze, and one step closer to Bronze than the closest to Bronze parent if they're on opposite sides.

But, if you're the dorky type:

In a song in the comic, "Cresce" was shown to be meant to rhyme with grace - but later elucidated by Ashley as "kreysh" with an "sh" sound instead of an s - disappointing, as I liked saying "Kreshee".

In Alderode, the "-derode" bit is obviously "dirowd", but I'm torn between pronouncing the "Al" bit the way it's pronounced in "Alps" and the way it's pronounced in "almond", though I'm leaning towards the latter, as it sounds more lux that way, more plush - seems like the Aldish thing to do.

Ssael is Zayel - it's Tainish, and there's a Tainish pronunciation guide on the wiki: http://www.casualvillain.com/Unsounded/world/index.php/Tainish

Unfortunately, it lacks vowel interpretation, but it's mostly in the 5-vowels of Spanish, so, no biggie.

Khert is pronounced as you'll see in the chart, but, there are regional variations, as it's such a universal term throughout Kasslyne - non-speakers of Tainish such as the Crescians and the Shartes will pronounce it as any American would, while the Aldish would say it like any American faking a German accent.
