I think it depends on how much you like Ben Reilly. I can't say the first issue was downright bad because it came one week after the issue of Venom where Eddie's character development over the years got thrown out the window, but I still don't like the idea of "resurrecting" Ben by replacing him with an edgy nutcase clone. Even if he eventually comes to his senses, I still won't be able to think of him as Ben. And while I'm sure this torture scene with Kaine will be a fakeout, I wouldn't put it past Marvel to have him go through with it in hopes that fans will turn on him and take "Ben" back.

As for the recent 2099 run, I think it suffered from having a bad artist and primarily taking place in the present day.

Been hoping to getinto Reilly recently. What are some of his best runs? Any writers to look for? Should I still avoid Slott like the plague? I though Ben was ok in Spiderverse

I don't know what is the relationship between PAD and Yost, but unless Yost managed to really anger the fuck out of PAD, it's unlikely he'd "break the toy" without Yost's OK

Let's turn things to a more positive note. There's a lot of potential for Aracely in this book. Imagine the kinds of fun she could have in Las Vegas!

I could also see her to mend the relationship between Kaine and Ben or as she calls him "Kaine's brother".
