I've read this story. Superman gets sick of Lois and Lana's rivalry and arranges Hercules and Samson to marry them. Lois and Lana keep getting Hercules and Samson in trouble, and in the end, Hercules and Samson have to ask Superman for help.

The Superman's twin brother one is actually Parasite who goes insane after absorbing Superman's powers and memories to a point that he even becomes a twisted version of Superman himself and forgets his own identity. He makes up a story about being Kor-El, a deformed secret twin brother sealed in a cave by Kal-El's mother and later by Kal-El himself, but he believed in that story). The Superman 298 one is just part of a dream sequence, since he was feeling guilty about taking long breaks from being Superman due to his powers failing (He couldn't use his powers unless he was wearing the Superman uniform by itself for an unknown reason). Imagine how hilarious this would be to see.

Superman parade in downtown Metropolis. Large crowds of citizens gathered on each side of main street. Some of the spectators are holding superman balloons featuring the S shield emblem. A few even carry signs, "Superman is Super!" "I <3 Superman!"

The parade, a mixture of red yellow and blue. There's a parade float featuring a paper-mache Superman. In the center downtown Metropolis Superman is standing on a decorated raised platform surrounded by city officials including the mayor. In the parade a full marching band is playing the music to a "We love Superman" song accompanied by singers and dancers.
The performance comes to a end. The surrounding crowd responds in a mixture of cheers, applause and vocal admiration to their hero.
Superman looks over the adoring crowd, to the parade, the marching band, and performers. A look of heart felt appreciation appears on Supes' face. He looks like he might cry. He raises his hands slowly and claps - BOOM - nuclear explosion vaporizers everyone, reducing nearby structures and buildings to smoking ruin and rubble.

As the cloud of dust slowly fades, the sole survivor stands at the epicenter of the massive explosion. Superman stands staring at the palm of his hands with Wtf look on his face. Long stretch of time passes as Superman remains staring, transfixed at his hands. After some time, one by one, members of the Justice League arrive. When all of the core JLA members arrived, they gathered off to the side of superman to huddle to form a plan. Quietly exchanging questions and concerns; periodically glancing over at superman who is still frozen in place staring at his hands.
After minutes of whispering, the team huddle breaks and the heros turn to superman. The Flash steps forward and walks over to Superman. Flash hesitates for a moment and begins to ask question but before he can finish, Superman claps.

Housewives would often flip through their kids comics and eventually even started buying them for themselves and then their daughters and little girls followed suit.
