honestly Spencer is a good writer and anyone who says otherwise is stupid

He really is, it's his politics that are awful

Am I supposed to be agreeing here?

What is Spencer trying to say here?

Why is that Quicksilver at the bottom so fucking funny

This actually would have really surprised me had it not been plastered everywhere for months

>>
>>92504434
Why? Because they differ from yours?
>>
>>
>>92504893
I can handle different opinions, it's when they are a cunt that it bothers me. Spencer's an easily triggered bitch
>>
>>
>>
>>92504908
>triggered

Please use a different word at least, you sound angrier also, did he "trigger" you?
>>
>>92504401
I read a bunch of his books, and I find him dry and boring as fuck, and I hate this hipstery shit he does where every single b-list supervillain talks and acts like a retard.

He writes like JJ Abrams, everything is tied up by HUGE PLOT TWISTS, but the stuff in between the plot twists if lackluster at best.
>>
>>92504836
>"Let's print out some fliers to get people to come to the meetings. Make them look really nice and friendly too. We want people to think we're warm and inviting."
>"I hear ya loud and clear, Mac. So how big you want the ol' skull with tentacles seething out of it?"
>"Oh just the normal size."
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>92504921
No and nope

>>92504922
>every single b-list supervillain talks and acts like a retard.
I am starting to notice this. I think Superior Foes got to him
>>
>>92504921
He doesn't sound that angry to me. Why are you being such a little bitch about this?
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>92504908
This. And its more annoying that when he isnt pushing his politics he's a good writer.

For example the U.S.Agent arc is great, because while they fight both him and Sam's ideologies are potrayed as legitimate, so Spencer writes him as an engaging character who is conservative instead of a boogeyman.
>>
>>
>>92504962
Sure, after calling him a "triggered cunt" you obviously are better composed politically than him lol.
>>
>Plesant Hill was a Red Skull plot
Now it makes much more sense. Still, Maria Hill went with this. Wew
>>
>>
>>92505012
>triggered cunt
>>
>>
>>
>>92504946
>>92504962
>killing your staff for slight mistakes
I fucking hate this trope so goddamn much. Do these writers have any idea how cumbersome the hiring process is? Do you have any idea how hard it is to find someone who won't sell your ass out for a better offer?

Doing shit like this is a great way for SHIELD to infiltrate your base.
>>
>>
>>
I seriously thought that this was going to be awful, but holy shit it's great
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>92504912
>>92504920
>>92504927
I would like to point out that the comic cube they're referencing contained the soul of Adolf Hitler, so I think it's fair to assume Kobik is Hitler reincarnated as a small loli.
>>
>>
>>92505003
>>92505010
>>92505026
This feels...dumb. Is it dumb? I don't even know anymore.
>>
>>
>>92505124
It is, but it also knows it is dumb so it's not dumb.
>>
After/pol/.jpg
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>92505138
>It is, but it also knows it is dumb so it's not dumb.
That didn't work for Tommy Wiseau and it won't work here. It seems pretty clear they just started with the idea "Let's make contrive a scenario to make >>92504855 happen" and they just worked backwards in the most slapdash way possible. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall in those editorial meetings.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>92505124
It is contrived as fuck, but it's meant to be, in the sense that Spencer knows he's writing something really convoluted, an tries to hide it with some wink, nudge irony. You can see here the Red Skull literally wants his next scheme to be "convoluted" >>92504962
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>92505186
It makes for a better villain monologue later.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
Too soft indeed
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>92505266
So...its a work? Steve is conning a telepathic Red Skull?

Fucking hell, who thought it was a good idea to let Skull keep Xavier's brain after that one story was over

I like how everyone is totes excited about horrible body horror-tier mutations that sweep over populated areas with little to no warning. When the giant pulsating cocoons appear, do Marvel citizens say shit like "Well it's creepy as fuck and the implications keep me up at night, but at least they aren't no fuckin dirty Mutant skum."
