I love Rem's art. The comic is not my cup of tea but her designs are adorable and it's just so well made even by printed comics' standards.

Probably part of the reason. Not saying digital isn't art isn't real art, but there's loads of shortcuts that artists can take to cover up their mistakes and avoid learning their fundies with. Traditional forces you to fuck up less.

Consistent update speed is way more important for a web comic if your goal is to make that patreon dosh.

Devil's Candy is amazing, but it's slow on the updates, so the community for it is smaller as well.
