We Bare Bares is a pretty solid SOL, but thry have been going balls deep on the backstory and lore early. Kinda undermines the comfiness a bit.

The show is good at addressing nostalgic stuff you didn't even know you had nostalgia for.

The show criticizes the school system by saying there's no "one size fits all" way of teaching kids. some kids need a more hands on way of teaching and teachers should be more adaptive to keep students interested and engaged.

Eh, I love Azumanga but a lot of the better Japanese Slice of Life series are more comedy than anything else, often relying heavily on wacky shit that doesn't actually happen to people irl.
