This always bothers me, brown people do not have the same shading as white people. During the renaissance they figured out how to shade people past a basic skintone, with blush, slight greyish blues and greens, pinks, yellows. But it was pretty much meant expressly as an observation of european people.

Brown people literally do not have the same colors, it doesnt work like that, they have a more monochrome kind of shade to them. Its why cooler colors look good on black people, theres a sharper contrast. but generally there's not as much variety since their skin isn't see through, wich is the entire fucking point of why white people have blush

more dramatic example. Its very stark. Also for lighter black skin you could use some very small shades of yellow, but typically it really is more black and white. Any more color than that and they usually end up looking like some weird indian drag queen.
