Yet he just leaves Lois hanging around in the vicinity. Since she's a peril magnet, getting her to relative safety would be a thing, but I don't know how fast Superman flies anymore.

Does he have a plan for finding Superson that doesn't involve checking everyone's closets? Because he should have been able to scan that little town with his senses and know right off that he's not there. But again I don't know if he has all those senses or if the writer is ignoring them for the millionth time. Even if his senses are being spoofed by MB, to Superman that would still read as a "he ain't here."

Thirdly, wondering why he honestly gives a fuck about gigantic Kaiju crustaceans on the rampage. Does Superman not eat lobster out of some moralfaggotry? I was under the impression that he ate cow pretty regularly. So why does he give a single fuck about big ass Lobsters? This whole "WE MUST NOT HARM THE MONSTERS" bit seems a bit out of left field, particularly since they are trying to kill people.

Well, first I have to wonder why you thought it was a good idea to start reading a story at chapter 4 when you clearly have no idea what's going on. Hamilton is the town that they've been living in since the beginning of this Superman run. All the craziness going on just started a short time ago (like minutes ago) within the story. Superman literally says on the first page that he's using his super-senses to look for Jon and can't find him, so clearly the writer isn't ignoring those powers, it's just you skipping over text bubbles. But Superman also knows that the people trapped in pods and suddenly appearing monsters are somehow connected to Jon's disappearance, so he's not just going to fly off and start searching Metropolis or China. Lois also wants to find Jon, so she wouldn't let Superman "fly her out of harm's way" and he knows that. Also Superman valuing all life is in no way out of left field if you'd actually been reading the book. Him teaching Jon to avoid killing whenever possible, even giant monsters, has been a consistent theme of this entire run.
