Can anyone point me toward a current run of /co/ related media where someone is just an actual hero? A character that's just doing right, and inspiring hope.
Everything seems to just be showing some kind of shitty side to every character to make them more "real." I need some hope... because that's what heroes are supposed to inspire.
Superman.

Those don't exist anymore except MAYBE in DC, but only a few of them. Superman is probably the closest to what you're looking for.

Badger is just a lunatic that kung fu fights. It's funny, but he's no "hero".

Not directly related, but The Protomen make great music, and the videos kick ass too.
Hope is a strong theme.
There's megaman comics too, but I haven't read them yet.

The Palmiotti/Conner Power Girl story right before Flashpoint I picked up on a whim and was pretty lighthearted fun. I keep meaning to go back and read more of it.
Oh wait, you meant current.

While I fucking love this book, it's doing the exact opposite that OP wants.
It's showing Peter progressively growing darker after he finds out aboutOMD

The Protomen are great. I would say they're more about hope than they are about heroism, though.
