Is this book worth picking up? It looks very original and interesting, plus it's the inspiration for Samurai Jack. I recently picked up Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns, suggest me some other graphic novels as well!
I liked it a lot, so I'd say it's totally worth it.

It's worth having for the art, which really is Miller at the top of his game, but the script is kind of mess after part 2.

It uses the basic "Samurai Revenge Quest" storyline to give you several running well-written bittersweet cyberpunk subplots. It's a brutal, memorable, high-concept human drama. It's also distinct from SJ, so you'll get more of what you love while getting something new.

It's fucking awesome. Post-apocalyptic dystopian sci-fi with samurai shit. It's one of the best miniseries ever.

It looks perfect for me honestly
>remembering when Frank Miller was the best comic book writer and not a garbage trash man who made DKSA and "Are you dense? Are you retarded or something?"
80s FRANK COME BACK

The Flintstones wishes it was half as funny as All Star Batman and Robin

It's great as just an edgy parody made by a high schooler or something
When you remember it's written by one of the comic greats, it's just sad

He set out to write something juvenile so I'm fine with it. Miller has little reverence for capes, that script was likely written as he grinned ear to ear.
This is the same man who put out Tales to Offend, not everything he does is serious.

To be fair, he's only done half a dozen stories this century and half of them are actually pretty solid. Take away All Star Batman, DKSA, and Holy Terror, and his career is pretty much spotless.
