The original Power Girl was basically an older Super Girl that didn't debut for years after arriving on Earth since she was trained in secret by the Earth-2 Superman (The Superman that debuted in 1939 like in real time). She was more confident and boastful than Supergirl, but that's it.

Earth-2 Superman himself killed in the beginning of his career and even in some late appearances when necessary, but Powergirl herself wasn't portrayed as a willing to kill.

Some of her recent portrayals have shown her as willing to kill though, like the animated version of Superman/Batman Public Enemies where she replaces another characters role in breaking Major Force's suit, which leads to his death, and the Action Comics Convergence mini where she was shown to be willing to participate in a death game to save her world's Metropolis, but most people saw the entire story as out of character.

Has Supergirl and Black Adam ever interacted that much in the comics?

It's better than the first one. Injustice 1's story was pretty bad imo. First, Luthor in the prime universe somehow enlists a bunch of Batvillains to attacking the fucking Watchtower. It's just goofy seeing someone like Bane and Catwoman take on Raven and Cyborg without the bullshit Kryptopills. And the multiverse thing never sat well with me and I usually love multiverse shenanigans. It removed a lot of the tension and drama that could have been there if they just kept things confined in one universe. I'm glad they didn't choose to get the other universe involved but at the same time it was stupid of them not to.

Tbh the Zsaz thing is so inconsiqencial to the games plot you can pretend it went down the same as in the comics.

We already found out Damian killed Nightwing in the first game and that he's a shit to batman and supes is evil, that scenes purpose is to just quickly remind normies what they forgot in the first game.

As for scarecrow. Although he probably was dead originally, there was no confirmation as far as I know so he could have just as easily been paralysed like in the cartoons.

The real jarring factor in the continuity is how different everyone looks. Arkham Knight had the same issue, the devs just threw any kind of likeness from the previous games character models out the window to the point they're unrecognisable, compare I1 to I2 supes and they're different people.

I get the devs want to create models with higher polygons and more detail but in terms of looks they're all prettt damn ugly. The last gen designs are all better for Injustice desu.

The overall plot is pretty by the numbers and not super interesting but it's very good moment to moment. The action, character interactions and voice acting are great and there are a lot of small but very good scenes sprinkled throughout.
