ITT small things that bother you about comics

You know that feeling? Like you know, that weird cloggy feeling you get, almost like when you accidentally snort back water in the shower, but like, when a dude cums inside your nose?

Like when you have your boyfriend nosefucking you, like you're giving him a nosejobby you know? Like that cloggy feeling?

I just wonder sometimes how many people get their sinuses clogged with spunk, you know man squirts. The sperm. It makes me go into shock and im unable to breath, a bit goes into my lungs, a little drips out of my mouth, but that little touch of death from the juice of life really makes you feel alive, you know?

I hate it when people are fighting in a comic and are having a conversation the whole time.
I know most comic book writers have probably never been in a fight before, but no one talks!
The only people that should be talking during a fight are Spiderman and Deadpool.
Everyone else should be too busy concentrating/physically engaged to quip at each other

Nah man, nah. Comics like Hellboy do it right by keeping the amount of speech consistent with the action in the panel.

In real fights dudes just try to headlock each other for 25 seconds until one of them falls over. Optionally a bunch of other dudes kick the loser in the head until he forgets how to control his eyeballs at the same time as not shitting himself.

if you can't stand having no words on a page, give the characters inner dialogue or a 3rd person narative

This, plus on the matter of the duration of the moment it better conveys time passing during the silence.
The single pane with nothing in it might seem to some like an instant instead of a good couple of seconds of intentional awkward silence.

It's much worse when they're having like an internal monologue. So fucking annoying. Something that really started in the early 2000's and has gotten out of hand.

Part of it may be because they have to dedicate like seven pages to a fight because each page is three goddamn boxes in "widescreen".

Part of it is probably because so many do the "Marvel Method" of giving the artist a script, the artist drawing the issue, and then the writer going back over it and adding more words everywhere.
