They managed to restore Cole's body in exchange for helping them stop an evil tyrant in their kingdom from invading the Earth. This season is going to be focused on time travel apparently.

Probably didn't do well in ratings and thus tossed aside for more Teen Titans Go. It seemed like a solid show, but probably would have done better on Disney Junior or other station.
