Dog seemingly died in The Final Days, and then this Armory issue came out, but then he showed up fine in a War Journal two-parter where he was kidnapped by some dudes who had broken into Frank's safehouse and sold him to a dog fighting ring.
There's supposedly a letters page where they hastily explained that Frank didn't euthanize the dog, he just used the knife to somehow save him.

Punisher was a monster according to Ennis and every modern writer
Sympathetic but pretty awful
>>92390885
>>92390915
>>92390912
eh... debatable
>>92390947
>>92390912
It's also worth noting that every writer after Ennis has been GARBAGE, so it's not like they'd know anything about the character.
>>92386592
Hey thanks op
>>92390980
>>92391009
>>92390994
No problem.
>>92390980
Ennis had him literally make a deal with Satan to keep fighting and microchip thought Frank had gone off the deep end
So yeah, he's not a model citizen
>>92390912
>>92390980
Ennis is also one of the edgiest men alive, so of course his punisher is hilariously edgy and extra dark
>>92390980
Aaron's run was fun
>>92391044
Another joined double splash page. The dudes that scanned the first few issues were lazy as fuck.
>>92391078
>>92391050
The voice in Born was supposed to be Death/The Grim Reaper.
Plus MAX is a totally separate continuity. MAX Punisher being slightly differently characterized is no different than Ultimate Captain America being an even more dramatically different version of the character.

Yes, I know MAX is real world AU, other the the Russian and nick fury living forever.
But Frank decided to frag his own officer just to stay on a base in the middle of nowhere to keep fighting, and then he sold his family to keep fighting, even if he didn't know it
>>92391347
>>92391376
>>92391355
The Russian was Marvel Knights, which I'm not sure if it's its own continuity or not.
>>92391396
>>92391396
I thought knights was grandfathered in as the original Ennis punisher.
Knight was a great imprint
>>92391420
>>92391458
>>92391446
I have absolutely no idea how the continuity in Marvel Knights works. As a line on the whole, it seemed to be canon when Marvel wanted it to be and not canon when Marvel didn't want it to be.
>>92391519
>>92391396
Marvel Knights is 616.
MAX had its own version of the Russian, though he only ever appeared in a brief flashback in #75 and it was the regular human version and not the undead tranny cyborg.

THREAD #3 HERE:
>>92392093
>>92391853
Maybe they died.
bumping for others
>>92391853
Why do you ask?
this is a curious run of comics
i'm not so interested in the subject matter as the fact that they were created in the first place; and while i don't understand the appeal, the fact that they do appeal to some members of punisher's audience is quite fascinating
it's also quite noteworthy that an artist and creator felt this was a valuable line of pursuit, going out of their way to build the punisher universe that little bit more
>>92391050
It wasn't Satan, it was Death Herself.
Hell, they all but say it that one creepy as fuck scene in Moon Knight.
>Hallucinatory? Khonshu: "Look at that! Look at him go! Now THAT is some serious vengeance. What does a god of vengeance gotta do to get THAT kinda performance out of you, huh?"
>Mark Spectre: "Well if you like the Punisher so much why don't you make HIM your avatar:"
>Khonsu: "Sadly, I can't. He is claimed by another. See how he wears Her emblem so proudly?"
>*zooms in on the skull*

Marvel's continuity at this point is even more meaningless than DC's. They just fucking ignore everything now, so it's impossible to tell what "counts" and what doesn't anymore.
>>92397162
But why is that relevant to this thread?
