Story timing a new paper strip from the late 70s: Star Hawk was a daily sci fi comic strip by Gil Kane and Archie Goodwin. That should be all you need to know to get in here.
This story arc starts in the second year of the strips run. But it uses standard sci fi conventions, you should be able to jump right in

I'm interested. Why don't I see strips like these today? All I see are "LOL CELL PHONES AMIRITE?" or CRIPPLING DEPRESSION.
Sorry 3rd and 4th in reverse order.

I don't know, Anon. I blame the democratizing, medicrotizing effect of the internet where everyone has a voice a no one has anything to say
I remember hearing about this
I only wanted to read it because of the rare double tall format
Bump for gr.just. or nah?

I was talking about newspaper comics. A lot of them still treat the internet as a mysterious faraway land.

Yeah. It got shrunk to normal size after a couple years, but Kane really made the most of the real estate he was allotted

Sorry again. Here's 19, I left it out...

ah yes, these strips are fucking tiny compared to anything else in comicdom
>>92391320
Whatever, senpai. Just saying that even with X2 the size, it still smaller than a conic book page and he gets a lot of life out ever square cm of art. I don't really understand your point of view. Feel free to look at Dennis the Manace or Dilbert.
Anyway here's a couple color, promotional items, then I'm done with this.
Hope someone enjoyed it.
No?
Well, go to hell.
Goodnight, plebs.

Daily Gil Kane...my god...

I know right? He did a Tarzan strip for a for a while, too, but I think he draws spacecraft too well for that.

No one but old people or small town folk read newspapers anyway.
This thread made me think of Spaceman Spiff and now I'm sad.
Fuck you OP

Radio Killed The Video Star and BuzzFeed killed newspapers
