The last storytime that I made was derailed by the hero of /co/, cheesecake and chubby pics. But, this time they have no excuse. So, let me storytime another classic, this time from the UK.
Tonight, I'll storytime the original coloured stories of Captain Britain.Next time it will be the black and white pages
>>92367568
How are you doing tonight anons?
>>92367580
If you are curious, I'll doing everything to the begining the tpb of Captain Britain
>>92367606
The Post Alan Moore one
>>92367740
Just out of curosity, do I have any readers here?
>>92367840
Also, is it just me or is this art like super similar to Jack Kirby's stuff?
>>92367868
This storytime is also a good chance for me to confess something. Brian Braddock is one of the three Marvel characters/teams I would give my left nut to write.
>>92367931
To any igorant anons wondering why this is, wait till we get to the Otherworld/Mad Jim Saga. Shit is awesome.
>>92367950
And I am an idiot who posted without an image. Fucking typical.
>>92367995
Also, Hiro fix the waiting times for images for storytimes.
>>92368059
I know I said that this storytime would be colour pages. But the last page is colour you own... I know its lazy, shut up.
>>92368086
Speaking of stories, Hellboy/Captain Britain crossover would be great
>>92368108
God bless the Mignolaverse Anon and Del Toro for introducing me to Hellboy.
Oh fuck, an awesome storytime just when I have to go to bed!
Fuck!
>>92368117
>>92368137
Feel free to stay. Anon. Don't sleep.
>>92368161
Oh by the way, to the anon who has to sleep don't worry. I'll be here sometime tomorrow.
>>92368242
On the subject of other storytiming anons, whatever happened to X-Anon? Is he kill? I mean, JSA Anon seems to be around still, but... he just seems to have vanished off /co/
>>92368256
Proof that I am an idiot exhibit B
>>92368276
Seriously, I know that they were part of the Captain Britain Era, but these colour your own pages are irksome.
>>92368370
I hate to be a greedy SOB, but can I get a bump?
>>92368469
To all of you wondering where the crazyness is. It's coming,
Continental bump
>>92368533
>>92368531
Thanks Anon. You are kind.
>>92368595
Okay, further proof I am an idiot.
>>92368608
Goddamnit.
Take it easy on yourself. Mistakes happen.
What suit do you prefer?
>>92368695
>>92368681
Thanks anon. Honestly, I like the original, although I won't deny that the second one isn't good. The first one just looks... more heroic medival, which tickles my fancy.
>>92368729
Sorry, meant to say more medival hero.
>>92368758
But in all seriousness, I love Captain Britain mainly because he fuses fantasy with capeshit in a manner that really works.
>>92368778
I just like fantasy superheroes in a modern world. It's probably why I really liked Devilman.
>>92368794
Again? Jesus.
>>92368873
Speaking, to any anons here, which constume do you prefer?
>>92368906
*costume,
Jesus, I must be drunk out of my mind.
I like the lion emblem on the red background. The other suits seems so busy. IRA was still active at this time, right? Are there any stories about that? Spiderman under Priest had one I believe.
>>92368982
>>92368976
Pretty sure yeah, this was the Thatcher era were the IRA were still 'big'.
>>92369014
Regardless, I am glad to know that we share tastes anon.
>>92369131
I know this might be an unpopular thought, but if, for some idiotic reason, Marvel decided to hire me, I'd love to write a Kid Briton . Mainly because while he was a shit character introduced by Hopeless, they have so much potential.
>>92369167
Speaking of I'm unfortunately going to have end this storytime early. I will do some more tomorrow.
>>92369179
This will be the end of the storytime for now.
Thanks for the storytime, debiru anon
I always wondered, when did they declare that Betsy was a mutant in the comics?
>>92367868
It really is.
>>92369752
Sorta... Before her appearances post-mutant massacre in X-Titles, she was confirmed psychic in Moore's Captain Britain. However, Claremont developed her powers and abilities into what we know today and classified her as a mutant.
>>92368256
Look around at the board and take a consideration why you would just...not come here anymore.
>>92368729
I like it too, plus his original powers.
>>92369839
So I kind of wonder if that would also be a possible loophole if MCU decides to use Captain Britain? They would have blonde Betsy but not make her Psylocke while Fox still uses Psylocke.
>>92370002
If they do Captain Britain, they need to have Jim Jaspers. So honestly... it is a bit of stretch. Still, if Legion is a sign, hopefully we'll get some X FX series. Tbqh though, I'd rather an Academy X featuring the New X-Men over a Captain Britain show. Still if they do a Captain Britain show, I think it could actually be a new phase in Marvel Netflix where British heroes take center stage.
>>92370002
Technically she wasn't "Psylocke" UNTIL she became an X-Men, she was just "Betsy". So maybe?
>>92370060
>If they do Captain Britain, they need to have Jim Jaspers.
Ideally sure, but if it came to it they may resort to the Ultimate version since that doesn't require mutants. Like for instance, their version of Jamie isn't a mutant.
>>92367568
That was a great thread. Welcome back, anon.
Good taste as always.
>>92370353
If they do that shit, rage will not be able to describe how I feel. Burning psychotic hatred would be better. As Devil Anon pointed out, the fantasy aspect of Brian is part of his appeal.
Ding Dong
Big Bump
>>92367759
I own the hardcovers but I'll give you a bump.
>>92367868
Herb was kinda famous for aping Kirby.
>>92371349
