About the only thing I could think of that would make sense is that assuming Clint's in his late 60s or early 70s, his personal experience with college would mean that he doesn't understand that there are better things for a college student to be doing if they want to pad a resume.

Hey, it's G.I. Gramps! Finally back just in time to get glowered at by his impudent granddaughter.

As far as making threads goes, I've only been able to post from my phone all week due to reasons, and I've had to wake up to do so half the time. Another Patreanon has been kind enough to pick up my slack. It does make it easier for me when there's a thread up, but it's no big deal either way.

I'm pretty sure you can't just move a person out of a dormitory just because they're a "distraction" to somebody else in the dorm. Unless that's Sir Clint's way of saying that their relationship is unhealthy, in which case I agree.

Also, does Kaladar even exist? And is this supposed to show that Ruth is bisexual? Because if so, is this another case of a bisexual character only being shown as holding an affection for a person of the same sex? Because I swear to God, that's all that bisexuals in this comic are ever shown as being.

Also, an open letter to Billie: Sir Clint clearly has a cane. You don't even have to punch HIM to get him hobbled over; just sweep the third leg. Or fourth leg, depending on the circumstances.

And no, moving someone out of a dorm would leave the university open to a lawsuit, as it's functionally a rental contract. Sleeping with your RA isn't an expulsionary offense. Unless they're massively upgrading her living arrangements then Billie has no reason to agree to move. They could move her within the building to a different floor though.

I cant stand how this is being written. This guy is pulling all these strings without any explanation or depiction of how. And the thing Willis chooses to show is him resorting to grabbing and yelling his granddaughter, which any person could do.

This strip does show Howie avoiding eye contact, so at least there's some idea that he's uncomfortable.

Anyway, Ruth has green eyes around Clint now, so she's probably about to kill him in cold blood, so that'll be fun. Maybe she'll use Howard as a blunt object.

This was particularly bad. When Howard shows up with Clint the audience should KNOW that Ruth is aware he's suffering from Clint's abuse so they can understand why she's acting the way she is and empathise with her when Billie doesn't understand and Ruth has to explain it to her.

But no, Willis leaves the audience to wonder why the hell Ruth is acting this way as well, having no understanding of her motivations until after the fact and making the revelation Howard is being abused seem like a tagged-on addendum rather than something that's constantly in Ruth's thoughts and actually LESSENING its impact. This is just backwards writing.
