Monopoly is actually a good game if people would play by the fucking rules. It only takes about 20 to 45 minutes maximum to play a game of Monopoly.

The problem is nobody ever reads the rules. Everyone plays by house rules that have been passed down orally so they do stupid shit like put all the fines and taxes on Free Parking and other stupid shit that fucks up the mechanics of the game and make it take forever to play or otherwise make the game less fun.

Read the fucking rules and play the game the way it was designed and it's a much better game.
