I make a Pegi 12 version of Bojack Horseman that delves into the twisted spychology of kids and how the main cast are moulded by bad, abusive parents.
As the series goes, the characters develop getting more and more depressed and then the final season concludes with our main cast commiting suicide.
There's not enough kids shows that are actually grim and sad in theme.

I don't know shit about these things but people come by the store I work at every day asking if we have them and I mean, it's been a long time since I kept up with kid fads but I think this is the first one that truly made me feel old since I was so out of the loop. Every 11-minute episode follows a formula in which a fidget spinner is found on the ground by somebody, whether they be a child, an adult, a dog, etc. The episode then follows that being around, focusing not so much on the fidget spinner itself but the main character and whatever problem they might encounter. Somehow, the fidget spinner plays into solving those problems, but at the cost of the MC losing the fidget spinner. Over the credits, the fidget spinner is tossed, kicked, and beaten around until it lands in a new area, where the next episode picks up.

The fidget spinners start falling from the sky and kids are fuckin' around with em'. But then when the aliens that created the Spinners as an energy source return to earth to get them back, the kids find that the spinners have powers or some shit. A friendly ayylmao robot who looks like a floating spinner tells them it's the main kids destiny to find all the fidget spinners on earth and use them to repel the aliens.

Kinda like bakugan but with spinners.

Set it 20 minutes into the future. A kid who is antisocial (but not autistic) has a fidget spinner. It's his defining character trait since he's otherwise fairly ordinary. When he gets stressed, he fiddles with it. Gets lost in it. Helps him calm down. See, his father gave it to him before he disappeared. Main boy is an orphan, lives all alone. Eventually makes friends because his is nice at spinning and he's quick with his fingers. It's pretty - multicolored, metallic, makes circular patterns when it spins.

Structure it like X-Files or Avatar. Have him get pulled into some robot of the week shit, give him a baseball bat, have him barely survive everything through pluck, wrap everything up neatly.

Every so often sprinkle in an episode relating to his father's disappearance.

The fidget spinner is just an accessory. It's not magical, or special, or anything, and is more a symbol for adolescence. It eventually breaks. This lasts for several episodes during the climax - something about a murderer. Main boy's dad did research into psychic powers and parallel dimensions. Main boy is forced to download it all into his brain, overloads hardcore during the final battle but manages to make it work. Accidentally breaks the world, lets parallel world people and monsters and phenomenon turn it into the average cartoon style world. Towards the end of the series a friend gets main boy a new one. He just leaves it on his desk when going out to check out the next new adventure.

Art style? Halfway between Over the Garden Wall and Samurai Jack. Something kind of Secret of the Kells-ish. No outlines, but not as stylized as Jack.

I work in a restaurant. I didn't know these things had caught on everywhere. I saw a little girl with one and saw she had a pink one. So I said, "Oh, I have one of those, only mine's black." Thought it'd be nice for her to see there are adults with anxiety and ADD and such who have jobs and everything. But her mom just laughs, hard. So I'm thinking what the fuck, right?

Then over the next day or so I see like a dozen more kids with them.

So now I can't take that one in public or people think I'm playing with a thing designed for small children to dick around with and trade and shit.
