>it's an "anon uses "it's an X episode" to complain about something that isn't common at all" thread
>>92348003
Hey that was pretty good.
I'm still so surprised people haven't made a modern wacky racers cart racing game. People still adore Mario Kart so its not like there isn't a market for a fun party racing game.
>>92348055
Nah, not complaining this time. I wish this type of episode was done more often.
>>92348003
Holly shit that was really good. But now I really want a wacky races movie.
>>92348003
Pretty good. All it was missing was the hillbilly, the lumberjack and the Professor. But I guess those would be pretty hard to do for just a commercial and the budget was best spent making these designs and vehicles look better.
>>92347557
Reminder that this exists
>>92347557
More shows should have a wacky races homage episode, even japan fucking does it.
>>92348572
Carnival Phantasm's Wacky Race is the best anime rendition of it
South Park's was great.
>Ooooh, and Matthew McConaughey is suck into a black hole!
Anybody remembers waiting 3 hours for this to load in the old Cartoon network site?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfuftLEFChs
>>92347557
Those are my favorites.
>>92347557
The South Park Wacky Races episode was God-tier.
Came out of nowhere too, it was from one of the later seasons that had got a bit preachy then all of a sudden they had this ridiculous episode about Uber and Elon Musk and those awful Matthew McConahey car commercials.
>No one mentioning the Batman Brave and the Bold episode
>>92347557
The world NEED more wacky races parodies. I would make it law that any animated show has to have at least one.
>>92349569

>>92347557
>it's a very expensive movie that took seven years in production but it's basically just a "Wacky Races Johnny Bravo Space Dandy" homage episode.
>>92349498
It was a great set up but they didn't make proper use of it. They needed a bit more cartoonish gags and violence for the race. It also failed to feel like the news reports had built it up to be IE: something that had to be banned by governments. Coulda seen more destruction caused by the races and more cartoon gags that in a more realistic context would be something innocent bystanders had reason to fear, like an over sized bolder used to crush another racer that rolled into a suburb or something.
>>92349915
so well animated that if fact is kind of hard to understand whats happening.
>>92349915
You say that as if it's a bad thing
>>92350563
speaking of space dandy didn´t they also had a wacky races/f-zero episode?
>>92348003
BASED BRAZIL
>>92349915
Redline was made before Space Dandy
>>92350783
Is that Brazil or Portugal?
>>92350862
Brazil.
I ever that comercial, based as fuck
Anybody remember that one wacky races game that was on the dreamcast and the ps2
Johnny Test did this twice wiith Cars and Boats
>>92350924
and lawn mower don´t forget the lawn mower
>Hanna Barbara created Wacky Races
>They did it again by having a Scooby and Shaggy Movie about it
>Then they did it yet again by having a Tom and Jerry movie about it
Sometimes you gotta go forward by going backward
>>92347557
Anon if you don't like wacky races there's just no helping you and for your own good you should be put down
>>92349471
Why does 99% of the fanbase seem to hate this ep?
>>92351115
they started in the middle, and they didn't do a great wacky races they just did a drag race episode
>>92351270
But TT isn't Wacky Races, you can't seriously be expecting the episode to be exactly the same?
>>92351429
if you do a homage main aspects should be kept
>>92348055
>it's an "anon can't think of any examples of a common trope and dubs it nonexistant because he is uncultured swine" reply
>>92351474
They weren't doing an homage, unless every race episode in every show ever is an homage to WR.
>>92350783
Br br hue hue hue
>>92351524
I dont think you watched the episode Anon, it tried but it straddled the line too much
Why does Dick look like Al Jourgenson?
>>92349309
Why do all flash cartoons have this weird sound filter?
>>92351115
The fact we never knew what was in the briefcase didn´t help.
>>92351592
They're two of my favorite cartoons, I've rewatched both quite a bit. And I have to disagree, TT was very much doing its own thing. Remind me when an anti-hero appeared in WR and spoiled the race?
>>92351690
Now THAT was almost certainly a movie homage.
>>92349915
Dude that was what I loved about redline the most. It was fucking wacky races
>>92351614
Maybe is the conpression of the video?
>>92351004
I love the reluctant werewolf, As if shaggy becoming a werewolf wasn´t enoug for a movie he also had to win a wacky monster race.
I fucking love these episodes
>>92352386
everyone with taste does
I remember reading in the Japanese dub, apparently Penelope Pitstop's VA is the same one that did Doronjo. What an opposite role.
>>92350493
>well animated
most character's mouths move with a 4 frame loop. Races: cars are statics.
>>92353079
For most of the movie, once the last race begins its a clusterfuck of thing happening one after another.
>>92348572
>>92348684
Whats with animes parodying wacky races? Is that show popular over there?

Even if it's Cutey honey this is still utterly wrong
>>92369783
I wish Foxy and Hamburg could've been around for this.
The Treasures of Kerub had one, episode 38
>>92371074
The evil cheater duo's names were even "Sanatas" and "Bialobo"-- parody of Dick and Muttley's French names "Satanas" and "Diabolo".
By funny coincidence a lot of French merchandise colored Muttley green, so her dragon is actually appropriately colored.
