on the one hand you have a point, on the other I like a lot of the concepts from the second wave too much to just ditch them, especially since the most that's likely to emerge from this if anything does is probably just some art, and that can accommodate additional Frankies easily

Herriman has always been a controlling dick though; that's why her son hated Imaginary Friends so much.

Plus Good Wilt Hunting made it abundantly clear that Friends were created to fill needs and that kids naturally let them go when they were no longer necessary.

Herriman's need for order and usefulness makes perfect sense for a Madame Foster that lacked those things.
