You could buy the toys from the show.

It was impossible to save BtB. CN was screwing it over before it aired and it had no toyline.

There's slightly more merchandise for JLA and at least the episodes are actually airing in CN. I'm not optimistic, though.

Why? He's a B-lister and his character schtick is being anti-establishment. That works well for some things but not for a 10 minute action packed format, unlike other B-listers with more fun powersets like Firestorm.

BatB episodes were not ten minutes.

DC will probably move this onto their new streaming site
>>

You gotta be kidding me. There hasn't been a consistently good live action show in years. Maybe one or two good episodes out of every single live action show will be good per year, but the show itself? No way.

The running theory is that Cartoon Network resents having to air these Warner Brothers Animation shows instead of their own in-house programming, but still has to do it anyway because they're owned by the same parent company, Time Warner.

Cartoon Network also has a strong preference for shows that meet specific criteria, presumably because they believe their target demographics respond more to that criteria. Eleven minute run times, emphasis on light comedy over narrative or adventure, simplified character designs that are inexpensive to animate, etc. You see it in all their modern shows, the Ben 10 reboot, the Powerpuff Girls reboot, everything.

Warner Brothers Animation has tried to make shows that meet Cartoon Network's criteria, which is why we've seen stuff like Teen Titans Go, Wabbit, and Be Cool Scooby Doo. You can tell that Justice League Action was an attempt to meet Cartoon Network halfway by still having SOME of the criteria they like without going all-in like Teen Titans Go did. But that compromise apparently isn't enough for CN, who are obviously doing everything they can to bury the show.

Warner Brothers Animation might finally be getting tired of trying to play nice with Cartoon Network, which is probably one of the reasons they're started the new streaming service that >>92313791 mentioned.
>>
>>92316382
>>92316461
They're on kimcartoon and other websites. Double Cross is the only one that didn't air anywhere before CN put it last week.
>>
>>92316539
There's no UK dub, the UK airs the American version, while America airs fucking nothing.
>>
>>92316606
Yes please!
>John Constantine talks in an exaggerated southern American accent
>>
>>92315164
What does that even mean? Ollie is one of DC's biggest B-listers, hence a show was made for him (even if they raped the character). GA is bigger than half the Justice League. Name a JL member that is not the trinity that is bigger than GA.

Ok, The Flash, but until Geoff John GL dick riding came in GA was one of DCs most iconic heroes. Good back to Grell or O'Neils GA and that is where the greatest stuff happened. He was up there with Swamp Thing in turning the tides of comics.

are you blind, that Big Barda is extremely sexy
>>
>>92315207
At least the women have inner ears unlike JL and JLU lazy shit.
>>
>>92306080
Considering JLU and Brave and the Bold gave him a lot of the spotlight, I can understand if they try to feature different characters for once.
>>
>>92319152
Even more so that he has his own TV show now.
>>
DC's big characters=old overpowered dinosaurs from a bygone era that should be put out to pasture

Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman are cultural icons in North America up there with Santa, Jesus and Dracula. People might not know much about them, but they'll know who they are. Their movies and comics will generally make some money, but that doesn't mean they have a good chance of being universally praised or even well liked.

Dracula is a great example comparison, movies with him don't make lots of money just because people know who the character is. There's a difference between saying everybody knows who it is, and everybody cares, and people who defend Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman seem to often confuse the two.

The big DC characters almost all come from a time when people didn't care about making good characters just beings with powers, origins, and costumes that seemed neato.
>>
>>92319152

The problem is that the cartoon does a bad job of portraying other characters well.

The synopsis state that the cartoon is about Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman showcasing the different characters DC has, but you've tons of episodes featuring Superman with the young sci-fi heroes and Batman with the Vertigo-y cast, almost none with Wonder Woman alone with other heroes, only her with Superman or Superman and Batman. Meanwhile the rest of the heroes rarely show up.
>>
>>92310592

New 52 version of Wonder Woman sucks, though. It's about her walking around with a sword and shield in hand ready to behead enemies, being full of herself and trying to convince Superman into going INJUSTICE.

Of course, i'm not talking about Azz's run, but how she was portrayed everywhere else.
>>
>>92319509
JLU did a great job of most of the side characters. Captain Atom was one boring exception, but GA and Black Canary, never mind The Question and Huntress are some of the best superhero dynamics that have been done yet. They capture GA and BC so well, and the Question is a different one from the comics they keep his obsessive behavior and translate it well.

In JLU the trinity stories were the worst, but the best ones were Wonder Woman or Superman ones. You have to give them credit that they dialed back the batwank very well. So when he went and knew everything and was a plot device, you could take it, cause it seemed he was always offscreen doing research.
>>
Why isn't anyone at Warner Bros (who owns both DC and CN) doing anything to turn the boat around and promote their product?

They're not going to keep the upper-hand on Marvel/Disney like this. JLA is a great and fun show who deserve way better.
>>
>>92317507
The point is that GA had too much screentime for exactly the reason you're stating and they're trying to add in more "obscure" characters to the mix.
>>
>>92319848
They already have the kids hooked on DCSHG and TTG, they don't really need this
>>
>>92319649
>You have to give them credit that they dialed back the batwank very well.

Not really, since they were forced to do so because of the Bat-Embargo.

Remember when CN was watchable or even DC for that matter
>>
>>92321983
>>92320200
Where does DCSHG air?
>>
>>92319848
Because Cartoon Network is basically running a big con to keep their bosses from finding out that they're actively sabotaging their own shows.

Time Warner execs never see details like schedules or timeslots. They only see the hard numbers. Cartoon Network knows that if they just keep the ratings low, they can say, "See, we tried," and no one at Time Warner will ever question WHY the ratings are low.

It's a problem that's not going to go away until DC finds someone else they can sell their shows to, hence the new streaming service.
>>
>>92321983
Is Constantine any good or even aired yet?
Heard nothing about it.
>>

Digital shorts on youtube, DTVs I think air on Boomerang first and CN later on.

It's much more of a merch line than an animation one though. Dolls, Lego, clothes, comics, etc likely where they make the money.
