Johns wasn't able to do what he wanted with his preFP run so if there were plans they were dropped.

Williamson was going to reintroduce Max in the first Rebirth arc but couldn't fit him in.

Barry has been a terrible mentor for Kid Wally and everyone else under his tutelage so far is either dead or a villain.

Wally would be a better teacher for Kid Wally. Barry is too stuffy and indecisive.
