I love Alan. Really I do. That costume needs a design consolidation though.
Personally I like this that uses Black instead of purple, and removes the gaudy detailing on the boots. Still looks and feels a lot like the classic costume without looking like Alan got into a fight with someone in a paint factory.

Basically he is gay and then the train crashes and his fiance dies and then the ring is imbued with the power of the Green because reasons, but he still has lantern powers and not plant powers because reasons.

I still won't forgive earth 2 for teasing us with fate, then abandoning the character.

I on the whole liked the book though, until sloan and olsen died. Afterwards it went to shit.
