It was okay. It felt like it only half committed to an incredibly interesting concept, and totally backed away from any complicated and strong emotional depth.

Aside from that, all of their sequels outside of toy story have been jokes.

I've not been the biggest fan of Pixar's recent output either, but I genuinely loved Inside Out desu. Like I said as soon as I heard the concept I was hooked in, so maybe that's it.
There's something about it that I just love. It just seems very Disney to me, the childlike wonder Disney and when I came to watching the movie itself I wasn't disappointed.
That said, I don't feel keen on rewatching it, but I really appreciate what it did. Fantastic Soundtrack too.

Inside out was a pretty boring concept honestly, plus it's exectued pretty poorly, I know it's a movie for kids, but I don't understand why they'd chose to make the movie about personified specific emotions and then go and make those emotions be able to have their OWN emotions, like Happiness feeling sad or angry.

Plus the whole "it's okay to feel sad sometimes" message has been done to death in kids shows already.
