And this is coming from someone who thinks the Ashi Thing is pretty fun.

This Season is like watching a star runner take a gun and shoot his own kneecaps, then he does revalidation and sometime later he runs better than expected. It's pleasant to see but you keep wondering how he'd have done if he didn't shoot his kneecaps.

it's like they made episodes 1-4 before Gendy got the memo he was only given 10 episodes, then panicked and compressed everything, cutting out and shortening entire scenes to fit in the time available

Ashi should not have been the character to reignite Jack's spirit. Including a redemption arc when you need to wrap up the series was the wrong move.

Hell, Jack could have still had a love interest, just not one that was evil. That was unnecessary.
