I feel like this is one show that seriously needs a pilot to explain why everything is here. Why is the mom a puppet? Why is the cactus spiritually connected to all trees? Is the genderfluid robot a result of the same fusion experiment which fused the two mains together? Why can they defuse at will like that and so why do they willingly stay together at all times if they can turn it off? What fucking world is this that the weirdest thing about the hipster sphinx was the wood of his violin?

The only thing I put together in all this is that the goth girl likes the boy twin because of how quick she kicked the woman out of the auditions that he was getting love hearts over. And that the twins are kind of dickheads.

There's one small thing I noticed. When the robot is doing his theatrical audition, when the robot is male, it's absolutely enamored. When the robot switches to female, it's absolutely disgusted. It's actually a funny visual gag, seeing the robot switch back and forth.

So... Is this supposed to be a recurring rival-type character for Kate, or did she tell her to fuck off before she could even audition because they shared similar styles but she was entirely more attractive? Also, she was the only normal looking character in the show. Just a regular, pretty looking girl.

Anyway, God the lip syncing is non existent and the animation is hideous. I don't think I could watch this again without having my eyes fixated on their mouths at all times to see just how much the animators didn't give a fuck.

The series seems relatively harmless and has a lot of creative potential. I get the feeling they were just trying to make things as wacky as possible rather than push any agendas.
