It's better than it deserves to be, that's for sure. It falls short in some areas but it's still worth watching for its merits.

It's not incredible, but I'd say it's at least above average and worth a try (just please, make it past episode 1. It's a rocky start). Some writing falls short, but it's got some great interpretations of various mythological creatures. Good show about cryptid hunting and it'll tend to subvert your expectations of what's going to happen in the long-run.

And yes, Teodora is fucking top-tier. They had every opportunity to just turn her into a cute, but rude, annoying, bitch that you'll want to hate, but she's frankly one of the nicer characters I've seen in recent history.

It's the last thing we need in any show. Gravity Falls is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a longtime, but everyone soured on it because they were suckered into the "lore" which was inevitably going to fall flat in the end.
