Depends on how you define canon. Those are the only two with a new canon story mode. But the mobile games and adaptations are canon too, insofar as whatever materials are seen in game are real, just the events aren't necessarily as shown. Same with Battlefront.

I think it was just the Empire's existence that drove him to that extreme. Does anyone else get the feeling that Star Wars is based off the US? Specifically around the south where you go from little city to little city with tons of woods in between? I live in the south and you can actually find little Mos Eisley cantinas where everybody minds their own business while quietly selling drugs, doing bounties, or smuggling illegal substances across the borders. It's not like the Wild West where there's random shootings but its an atmosphere where everyone knows each other are addicted to psychedelic drug (mostly weed or shrooms), everyone is secretly making moonshine, and everyone is trying to avoid the law. Another aspect that reminds me of Star Wars is that everyone is packing heat and the hillbilly stereotypes don't really apply anymore since the age of the internet so everyone is intelligent enough to know how the government fucks them over, how to avoid being fucked over, and how to properly use technology.

Then again there's a lot of northern aspects too. NYC is like Coruscant with it's clusterfuck of buildings and crime similarly to how places like Hot Springs is Lothal with it's tiny urban areas and then woodland areas where illegal substances are smuggled and sold.

Victory Celebration, I'm personally not a fan of, but it doesn't detract from the experience overall so its a non issue

Frankly most of the Special Edition changes are non-issues, sometimes flat visual improvements (Jabba looks awful because he's 90's CGI, done today it would be fine, compositing aside)

Except that hasn't changed. Either way, he only shot Greedo because he was going to get killed himself. He's not a coldblooded murderer; it was still self-defense in the original edit. It's just that now Greedo shoots a little bit first.

The biggest issue about it for me is that it's such a minute change that almost no one would've noticed without the whole "HAN SHOT FIRST" rage.

Even in the franchise that codified the whole "the heroes never get shot unless the plot demands it" trope, Greedo missing is just unforgivably silly

The Han/Greedo scene is a non-issue because you can literally close your eyes for half a second and the scene will look identical to the original version.

Star Wars is a -lot- of places, really. Most of the locations in the OT are inspired by several icons of the American conscience, yes: for instance, Cloud City feels and looks like a possible Walt Disney template for the City of Tomorrow. The general way people carry themselves is inspired by the Wild West.

The PT shifts a little to the classic Greco-Roman West and feudal far East. The former is seen in styles on Coruscant, especially in the Senate and more lavish interior design. The Jedi are obviously where the far East Asian influences lie. Naboo, as well, though that's more that and Renaissance Italy.

Star Wars is multicultural in literally every aspect, it's hard not to find something to identify with.
