I don't do stuff in the drawthreads anymore. I hate that I sound entitled when I say this, but too many people are ungrateful for deliveries I did, or in general. Too many responses of "Why did you do that request and not mine?" or "nude variant when?" or my personal favorite of mine, where they just respond to a delivery with a link to their request.

At this point, I just let general threads inspire work. If there's a Dominator thread up, then I'll draw some Dominator and drop it in there.

And I know this really sucks, but artists tend to flock to others artists. That's part of why /ctg/ got so big, a bunch of artists were interested, and the other artists were more likely to appreciate the work one put in.

A lot of us drawfags are still here, we're just taking fewer requests it seems.

I drawfag and I've developed a pretty thick skin so I don't really give a fuck what anyone says about me or my drawings, but a lot of people on /co/ these days act like entitled little shits who deserve commission-tier art for their requests and like this is /ic/. But unlike /ic/, /co/ art "critics" don't know what the fuck they're talking about and are hardly ever constructive in their criticism, just insulting.

Drawfags mainly draw for fun, if you're trying to have fun with Anons and draw things for them you think they'd like only to be confronted with a barrage of insults, I can see why some drawfags might not enjoy drawing for /co/ any more.

I stopped because there was a point the requests got really fucking boring. It was all "Raven doing _something sexy_" or "Princess Marco dressed like _something sexy". And if I didn't want to do those, all I had left were people who wanted complex full-on illustrations with five characters doing a dynamic action poses.

And a lot of the time, it's the same people posting the same requests and even after their requests were met, they continued to ask for the same request in the next thread. I remember someone asked for something super simple that was different, like X-J9 drinking coffee in the morning, and got four deliveries almost instantly (Including my own) because at least it wasn't just a covered up /aco/ request.

Also there was a point of increase in people nitpicking things they didn't like in your art or calling it shit.

Just by looking at the drawthread you can tell that most of those requests are from people that want to jerk off to their waifus, because most of /co/ think with their dicks.

I don't drawfag here as much for a few reasons.
First things just have to line up right. I have to have a clear enough schedule to do any of the requests, but I also don't like to post in a dying thread or worse a thread that you literally can't post images in but Mods/shitposters refuse to let die but they also refuse to let a new drawthread be made.
Then there has a to be a request worth doing which some threads can be devoid of.
Also I'm a pretty shit artist, so incentive to drawfag can be low when nobody really gives a fuck that you're doing it. That's time that could be spent becoming a nonshit artist.

I think a lot of it boils down to money/awknowledgement as well. Not saying this is true for everyone but it got pretty tiring drawing for people for free when a ton of other artists get something out of it whether it be money or more traction etc etc. Call me greedy but that's one of the main reasons I don't draw requests much even on other websites.

Part of it is the guys who spam requests over and over. It's like they have a fetish for getting requests done. I'll see a request, do it, spend hours on it, the dude says thanks. Then immediately requests it again from other artists. So it feels like I just wasted my time. And then every time I see other requests I can't help but wonder if it's the same faggot. I'd rather not do requests at all then risk doing multiple requests for the same cunt that doesn't appreciate it.

Then there's the prudery. Drew an artistic nude, once. Of course this is a blue board, so I put big black censor bars over the girly bits. You literally would have seen more skin if I had drawn her in a bikini. Didn't stop the autistic screeching, of course. "This is a blue board!"
