No one said anything because it was a shitty play on words, Dorothy.

Also, no Ryan sighting tonight unless he's disguised as a bench or a tree.
>>
Ryan has somehow found a way to max out his camo index, I see.
>>
Does this comic have any business majors in it?

Serious question.
>>
>>92189457
>journalism has become a distraction
When was the last time Dorothy did any journalism? Or is this all a set-up to remind the reader that Dorothy writes about Ama-
>yer not gonna talk to Amazi-Girl any more? But... you LOVE Amazi-Girl!
Welp.

I'm still going to assume that Ryan is following Dorothy around to ask her about Amazi-Girl and who she might be.

>>92189490
Obviously, Ryan is blending in with the brick wall.
>>
>>92189457
Joe was suggesting the no cartoons thing for Dorothy, not Walky.
>>
>>92189457

I wonder if Willis is low-key trying to turn Joe into the new "tell people harsh truths" guy after the massive backlash against Mike in the comments section.

I get the feeling he REALLY wants to write a character who calls people out on their bullshit without pissing off his fans, but at this point I think that ship has sailed.
>>
>>92189589
Sarah and Jacob are law majors, but that's probably the closest thing.
>>
>>92189589
There are a ton of cast members who don't have a major that's been stated outright. Joe, Mike, Sal, Ruth....actually it might be easier to name the few that we DO know.

But none of them are business majors (that we know of) yet, no.
>>
>>92189790
I remember one time there were alternate cast pages with more information linked, and I think the books have different cast blurbs. Those might list more of the majors.

>Takes place at Indiana University
>No one is a business major

This upsets me a lot more than it should.
>>
>>92189784
Sarah and Jacob are on a pre-law track, which isn't a major in and of itself. Something Willis surprisingly got right in the comic itself.

>>92189642
Any one of those cracks could actually be his raping scar.
>>
>>92189875
Why does that upset you? Google, why does that upset anon?

>Indiana University's Kelley School of Business continued its climb in Bloomberg Businessweek's rankings of undergraduate programs, moving to fourth overall and No. 1 among all public universities.

Oh. Huh. Yeah, that's pretty bad that Willy can't offhand mention that one of them is a business major since he's so concerned about getting everything else about IU perfectly accurate...well, it's architecture, anyway.

Maybe Dotty is a business major? It's not like you can major in being president, and I think a HUGE percentage of congress majored in law or business. If she was in law, it probably would have been mentioned already.
>>
>>92189875
>>92190030
Yeah, Willis seems more concerned about making sure everything LOOKS correct about the campus, but doesn't bother with the actual school's history. He's only in it for the aesthetic.

This is akin to if DoA took place at Mizzou and none of the characters were journalism majors.
>>
>>92189457
>I can find someone else

It's gonna be Billie isn't it? Give her something to do now?
>>
>>92190030

If she is doing anything with business combined with public policy she would be a SPEA major, it's the business mixed with public policy.

It half makes sense. I feel like most people who go to IU and don't major in business don't like the people who go to the business school.
>>
>>92190147

Is there an engineering major in the comic?

Would actually die if there was.
>>
New Pinup

Amber jilling to a porno "Batman peens Superman: Dawn of Buttstuff"

Why hasn't Willis killed himself yet?
>>
>>92190030
dorothy's in law, its mentioned on her cast page
http://www.dumbingofage.com/cast/dorothy-keener/
>>
>>92190030
Dorothy is a journalism major, for some reason.

The Walkypedia lists majors as:

Ruth: English
Billie: Journalism
Joyce: Elementary Education
Carla: Computer Science
Walky: Telecommunications
Joe: Undeclared
Ethan: Undeclared
Danny: Computer Science

though in some cases it runs counter to what the comics says.
>>
>Carla: Computer Science
>Danny: Computer Science
>Indiana University

I feel sort of bad for them
>>
>>92190332
Oh, that's it, it's the ones in the drop down, which are more detailed than the ones from clicking on Cast and then the portrait. It would be nice to see the book profiles though.
>>
>>92190276
It takes place at IU not Purdue.
>>
>>92190286
>peen
>buttstuff
>hanky panky
>ass barfy
The list goes on. Why does Willis still use terminology that a ten year old would find childish? Does he think it's endearing?

It's not.
>>
>>92190430
Remind me in three years to buy the PDFs from the Kickstarter for Book Seven.
>>
>>92190462

IU can't offer engineering degrees. It's against their charter.
>>
>>92190399
Amber is presumably CompSci as well. And for some reason Carla seems to have access to an engineering lab and equipment.
>>
>>92190525
Carla has access to whatever she wants because she's a billionaire heiress....and because she's trans, so the Dumbiverse literally bends to her will.
>>
>>92190581
If Carla has access to whatever she wants then that includes Mary's virginity, thus canonizing something like 90% of our Carla smut on a technicality.
>>
>>92190525
Well I study overnight in the math lab sometimes
>>
>>92190581
Imagine if Becky and Carla disagreed on how to proceed with a task. The universe would break in half trying to accommodate both of their desires.
>>
>>92189642
>I'm still going to assume that Ryan is following Dorothy around to ask her about Amazi-Girl and who she might be.
Is Dorothy going to get turned into Amazi-Girl's Jimmy Olsen?
>>
>>92190879
Obviously they'd both turn out to be completely correct.

I honestly feel like their relationship could work with all sorts of dynamics!
>>
>>92191831
It really is the true patrician ship of DoA.
>>

Joe was the designated jerk back in the Roomies days, to the point where he bullied Howard right up until Ruth died and Howard self isolated.
>>
>>92190276
Yep. Carla.
>>
>>92190286
>Why hasn't Willis killed himself yet?
Too full of himself.
>>
>>92192528

Has anyone ever mentioned it to him that it would literally be impossible for her to major in engineering on this campus?

IU doesn't have an engineering program. It hasn't for decades.

>it would literally be impossible for her
I refer you back to the fact that she's under the queer umbrella, and so the "rules" and "facts" of the Dumbiverse will literally bend to her will, since she has too much 'other stuff' to worry about for reality to matter..
>>
>>92193178

Upsetting.

For a guy who lauds himself over getting the campus "100% correct" and complaining about when buildings in the town change because he has to redraw them for "accuracy" he seems to lack a basic comprehension of the most important part of college: the education offered.
>>
>>92189954
I wonder what major they officially have. What do pre-law people even study?

>>92190345
Amber is also CS, like Danny.

>>92191040
One year, actually. That's not much better, though. I wonder if IU knows he was hiding in the dorms after he failed out.
>>
>>92193336
Both people I know who went into Law did Classics for whatever reason. A grounding in Latin, maybe?

>masochistic dom Mary
How does that work?
>>
>>92193336
In most cases without a pre-law major, it's usually a humanities background. Communications and philosophy courses are pretty common.

>>92194988
Dom/sub is completely different from sadomasochism. In this case she'd be firmly in control psychologically, if not physically.
>>
>>92193178
>Often in fiction, bad stuff happens to gay ladies
Like what?
>Meanwhile stories bend over backwards to keep straight folks happy
No, that's just poor writing
>>
>>92196067
Non-straight women in fiction are often killed off while straight characters have a better chance of survival. You know how, in horror movies, the couple having sex will always die? It often comes off as punishment, and that's kinda how it works with lesbians in movies. You find out they're gay, and then they die, allegedly. I am fairly out of the loop when it comes to movies and TV, but enough people talk about this that I think there's something to it.
>>
>>92196067
Willow and her girlfriend from Buffy. That one superheroine from Watchmen who got murdered for being gay. Mindfuck and Sistah Spooky from Empowered. Riley in The Last of Us.

It's generally more of a gay dudes trope rather than gay ladies, but it's definitely a thing. Doesn't mean that the right solution is to bend over backwards to keep anything bad from happening to them at the cost of good storytelling.
>>
>>92196354
I don't think it's really fair to count Tara from Buffy when Whedon regularly killed off people for shock value. Silhouette wasn't really a character as much as she was setting background, much like Dollar Bill. Mindfuck is a better example, but IIRC like half the Superhomies were killed by Wiley Pete.
>>
>>92193178
>Meanwhile, stories bend over backwards with supernatural zeal to keep straight folks happy and together with whatever love interest they met five minutes ago.
At the very least, he should say "there's way more variety in fiction regarding straight couples because there's a larger amount of them represented in mainstream culture." Tragic shit has been happening to straight couples in fiction forever? He even uses the term fridging which was coined in reference to GL finding his girlfriend in a refrigerator.

It really feels like he has a poor grasp of why or how things are way they are. You can see it whenever he makes a strip that is just a soapbox. He'd probably also do poorly in that logic class.
>>
>>92198773
>He'd probably also do poorly in that logic class.
Well, Willis admits that Dorothy is his spirit animal. Or, well, she's the ideal person that Willis wishes to be.

Maybe Willis should go back to school. It's not like he's got anything better to do with his time.
>>
>>92198957
Can you imagine the blow to his ego if he tries to go back to college and doesn't cut it, especially if he goes after an arts degree? I don't think he could handle it.
>>
>>92200027
even fucking tom preston managed to get an arts degree...can you imagine how willis' ego would deflate if he failed?
