Well the way his costume works would be perfect for gear since he can just morph it in to whatever edgy looking armor he wants. In regards to fighting I could see a big focus on his chains, magic and a little bit on guns for range and claws, spikes and an axe for up close. His character trait could be tied to his magic, maybe adding a green flame effect to his attacks that does small continuous damage if it hits. Dialogue wise they could have some fun referencing his crossover with Batman or have Sub-Zero mistake him for Scorpion due to their similarities. Maybe some banter with Swampy about how they've both been to hell.

U'm not a troll but I will explain why I want Spawn, while I cant say why everyone would want Spawn I can definitely tell you a few reasons why I'd like him in the game.
His powers: Out of all the DLC characters I've seen requested I honestly think NRS would have the most fun with Spawns moveset, simply because of the wide arrange of stuff he CAN do. He can control his cape and chains at will, shapeshift, breathe hellfire,control bugs and creepy things.,teleport and is crazy durable. I also think New Spawn can summon demons. All in all NRS would have alot of breathing room with his moveset, and could honestly play however they want him too. He could be a zoner with his guns and hellfire(He's an ex CIA assasain), a rushdown with his teleportation and shape shifting or a grappler with his chains and cape. Theres just so many possibilities for a bad ass moveset
He's a comic book legend: Spawn is honestly a really big deal for comics and is an example of an amazing anti hero. Spawn came from the writer Todd Mcfarlane who left Marvel due to the way the editorial staff interfered with his writing. He then left with 5 other guys and founded Image Comics and started writing Spawn. Spawn was THE 90s anti hero, his popularity boomed and he eventually got his own movie. He managed to be an edgy 90s anti hero, yet still didnt feel annoying and over dramatic like a lot of the anti heroes in the 90s. I believe Spawns a big deal for modern comics and a reason why anti-heroes are as popular as they are nowadays.
3: He'd have REALLY cool gear: Omega Spawn, God Spawn, King of Hell Spawn. Nuff said. Tons of cool things you could do with his capes, guns and chains.
This is why I feel like Spawn would fit perfectly with Injustice 2. Overall just a badass character with a long history in comics.Not to mention all the kickass potential intros he could have with people like Doctor Fate and Batman.

Well, Lex is literally dead and was one of the least played characters in the first game.

Catwoman's a pretty important part of the Injustice universe all things considered. Bane's in to fill out the whole Society faction for that storyline, he'll probably just be a guy you beat up a few times for the sake of fights-per-chapter quota. Just like in the first game.

Sinestro is a character I expected to return: he had a fairly important role in the original Injustice story, and didn't lack a playerbase. But looking at how many additional fullscreen characters have been included in the game (Darkseid, Deadshot, Firestorm to name three off the very top of my head), I guess they decided to skip him this time and leave him imprisoned on Oa for the sake of roster balance.

I'm not gonna lie, I actually liked Enchantress, but not as the villain. I liked her costume a lot up until they changed the outfit when she got her heart back. And that 1st transition from June to Enchantress was the best thing about the movie (along with her Smoke mirror teleport)
