My personal view is, on that situation, fighting for his life, no other woman on earth would throw him off like that. He's a trained warrior, the best on the fucking planet. Otherwise the 7 sisters could just have charged at him naked and he would end up dead.

think of it like this. Aku realizes he will never beat jack because of the sword so he just starts avoiding him entirely except for when he comes across a time portal, the moment aku destroys the last one he is probably thinking, "Fuck this guy all i have to do is wait for him to die now" and stopped paying attention to him entirely. That's how he could not notice the sword being lost.
