It wasn't real in the context of the show, it was in Muffy's imagination in which the kiss turns her into a frog.

I remember this episode, she was trying to hang out with teenagers but found she was too young to understand most of what they were going on about.

Buster and Muffy is a terrible fucking ship. A good Muffy ship is Muffy and Binky. I don't remember if there are others.
