I think there's one more option that isn't discussed much before. The communication hub. They might not be able to fix it well enough to reach HW after Sugilite smashed it to smithereens, but maybe they can reach the zoo ship and ask for help. At the very least ask to "borrow" a ship. If not the communication hub, maybe they could fix the communication system on the era 1 ship to call for help.

I like how Garnet drew herself when they were drawing Aquamarine because "I like me!"

That perfectly describes Garnet, she's incredibly self absorbed. Sure she's responsible and thoughtful, but only when it really concerns what she's interested in. She has very little understanding on anything outside her interests, which really is kind of clever when you realize the character is basically the personification of two love birds in a constant whirlwind romance.

Garnet has the least amount of backstory, but the most subtle development by far.

And my belief is that S4 was more townie focused to set up a bunch of townie subplots and shit to endear us more to them, before they were almost kidnapped.
