It's incredibly how much of a non-entity Ulysses is. Replace him with an inanimate objects that shows images of the future and nothing changes.

I love this page the most. Anti-Thanos missles was one of the dumbest thing Bendis ever wrote.
>>92160170
I love you illuminating comics
>>92161334
Fuck you anon i thought this was for real... From the actual civil war pages. and I mean Fu in a good way.
>>92161372
a this was even better, so eager and desperate for approval ...just like the real carol.
>>92162259
>one of the dumbest thing Bendis ever wrote
WOW somebody is really keeping the score and valoration? kudos man
>>92162259
Right, I suppose these should be posted as well.

And this.

>I love you illuminating comics
Thank you for the love then!
>>92161305
THANK YOU so much for pointing this out, this bugged the crap out of me. They chose the worst possible scenario to make Tony go all-out against Caroll, because Carol was objectively right that they should do something against Thanos. In fact, Ewing confirmed this in USAvengers, since Thanos would have gotten his hands on Iso-8, created Cosmic Cube Gauntlets and slaughtered most of the superhero population along with countless millions.
Tony comes off like an arrogant selfish dick, what would he have done if Carol had gotten the intel that Thanos was coming from a tip given to her by the GotG, would he have gone after them too?
>>92162782
the only real sensical way to read it is tony has a delusional bug up his ass because he's not the one calling the shots
espcially becaue in the iron-bendis comic that came out the fortnight before, the way tony descibed to MJ how his 'super autism' predicts the future is literally how Homer's future prediction worked, just with psuedo-cosmic awareness plus sharing
>>92160640
Whats the point of Johnny and that Dante guy being in the same group with literally the same powerset?
>>92160287
>Forgetful
>Tell her I said that, it's our in-joke
Fucking kek
>>92160640
I never understood why almost the entire Royal Family, Beast, Johnny, most of the NuHumans and an Orollan mercenary (Reader) ALL showed up to take in this one guy who as far as they knew was just some random Inhuman. They've never done anything like this, it's usually just a few people in Crystal group.
>>92162782
>>92162827
Tony spazing out at the beginning of the event is the worst part of all, because no sane person would ever look at the action he takes and consider him the least bit reasonable. Bendis writes him as a neurotic mess in sever need of a straight-jacket and yet he has heroes upon heroes join his side.
And I get it, the whole "outdated armor" thing was put there so that we understand Tony sees himself as the culprit and he's projecting... the fact that barely anybody calls him out on that however...
>>92162998
>They were founded by Nazis
Hey now, they were actually founded thousands of years ago. What Baron Strucker did was co-opt and take over the organization that was operating in the East near the end of the war. He knew the Reich was doomed thanks to a trip in Doctor Doom's time machine.
But I guess that's too complicated and not as funny so I'll let it slide.
>>92162998
Yeah, not only was blaming Carol and Ulysses for fighting against Thanos stupid, what he did next was also stupid. If he had just ASKED the Inhumans if he could do some experiments to find out how Ulysses' powers worked instead of attacking a sovereign nation and kidndapping a kid in order to yell at him, things would have gone smoother.
>>92163085
>But I guess that's too complicated and not as funny
Pretty much yes.
Although, I don't remember if the actual name HYDRA was already in place or Strucker came up with it. That's an important factor, to me. I guess I have to reread Secret Warriors.
>>92163204
The name Hydra was in place before Strucker took over. The first known Supreme Hydra of the modern Hydra was a Japanese Imperialist that Strucker killed in order to take over.

>Rogue scribbled out
kek
>>92162738
was it Bendis' idea to not have America grieve?
>>92161372
I miss Genis.
>>92163509
Don't we all?
>>92160430
>>92160456
Seriously, why did Bendis bring Samson back to life just for this one scene? Having a character who's been established multiple times to be super-dead (Hulk and Deadpool even checked his grave) come back to life with no explanation in an event where we're supposed to take a major death seriously is fucking stupid.
He never shows up again after this, even though you'd think he'd have something to say about Bruce's death. Wait no, he actually does show up one more time, in a news report in one panel of Riri's book where he presumably talks about how awesome she is or something.
>>92163378
America wouldn't grieve though. She just stands around looking stoic and threatening more established heroes that she will kick their ass if they don't do what a 17 year old says.
>>92163726
No.
Even Carol doesn't make... Most people give a huff of a fart about the replacement Marvels
>>92161457
you forgot a page
>>92162738
Fucking died. Love your work
>>92160287
>a trainwreck
This Carol should be canon
>>92164555
>>92160287
Can someone explain me the Rogue in-joke?
>>92165075
Back when she was Carol's archenemy, Mystique had Rogue try to kill Carol in a fight that ended with Rogue stealing Carol's powers and memories and the like.
At least, I think that's how it went.

Illuminated Bro, the hero we need
>>92160892
somebody send this page to Brie Larson
>>92164555
She kinda is dude.
>>92165075
Rogue was literally introduced as a Carol villain.
Perma-draining Carol in her debut comic appearance was why she had perpetual flying brick powers for a chunk of the 90s, including the X-Men cartoon.
It was a sore topic between the two until they buried the hatchet early into Carol's 00s ongoing, but it still crops up from time to time. Like when Rogue got her own ongoing via X-Men Legacy.
>>92165156
>Back when
Nothing's really happened to change it desu. Unless shit's gone down in her latest ongoing (haven't kept up) Mystique's still top of Carol's shitlist. She's fucked with her more than anyone.
>>92169979
No she is not
>>92170378
My mistake, I though you simply meant "considers herself a trainwreck".
>>92161457
<3 Ya, Illuminated Anon.
>>92160758
I prefer this Jess to Hopeless Jess.
>>92164030
I think he just likes showing people he can do whatever he wants and suffer no consequences, more so that other writers and readers will go out their way to cover it up or bring it up and he'll still just ignore it or respond with a nonchalant remark. I think he's long since bored of the characters and money now, the reaction he can get is all he writes for now. That and making Luke Cage and Kitty the Jesus and Mary of Marvel.
