Tis been a long time since the last one /co/. Come on, let's show our Best Girl some love.
Have some cosplay.
>>92132927
My kind of thread
>>92133094
You said it anon.
>>92132927
I don't care for overly sexualized portrayals of Wanda any more than I do for Sue Storm.
They are the grand matrons of the marvel u and should be more 30-something motherly than 20-something slutty.
Now, 30-something MILF-y is ok if done right. But neither should be prancing around lingerie. Pic is of my preferred middle ground, bare neckline and cleavage is ok while remaining suitably modest. (also see, Sue Storm as teacher, not Sue Storm with "4"-boob window)
>>92133058
Nice
>>92133378
Have a Wedding Dress Pic anon.
>>92133058
>>92133150
Does she give a chance for comic wanda to not be constantly buttfucked by writers?
>>92132927
>"My entire adult life, I've only ever been an Avenger"
God, that's depressing. And now she doesn't even have a dad from the X-Men.
She and Vision should just start their own team or something.
>>92133530
whoa is right
>tfw she can marry a humanized Vision in the upcoming Infinity War films
>>92133682
Not really anon, not really. Nobody really gives a fuck about Wanda. Marvel advertises the hell out of Moon Girl, but gave zero promotion to the Scarlet Witch book.
>>92133729
It's just sad that Marvel gives zero fucks for the supernatural side of their U. She would've worked great in a Midnight Watch (drop the Sons) team.
PS: Wanda x Doom = O.T.P.
>>92133742
Here, have some Latverian Wanda anon.
> tfw George PĂ©rez only drew one panel of his ship
>>92133812
I don't think she fits with the supernatural side. Even when her powers are defined as magic they're still basically mutant powers, because she's had them since birth and doesn't understand how they work.
"Probability" powers are the best definition IMO. It means nothing and allows her to do almost anything but at least the writer has to explain how it fits in with probability.
>>92134115
Eh, she has little to nothing to do with the X-Men at this point. Besides, her last solo was full-blown paranormal stuff. Just having her be a mutant, with no connection to the X-Men, part time Avenger ain't that better either.
Round up her, Strange, Doom, Ghost Rider, Blade, maybe Moon Knight or Man-Thing, and there you go.
>>92133729
Seeing Wanda hugging that guy is even more depressing. She should never have forgiven him.
A new Wanda/Vision book is a nice idea, though. Movie-synergy doesn't seem to apply to characters Marvel doesn't like, which is why we won't get one.
>>92134159
I think it's an important part of her history that she and Pietro were the first mutant Avengers and that they were "out" mutants when the X-Men had secret identities.
The Civil War movie kind of flicked at this by having her as the Avenger who gets denounced on the news and locked in the building to avoid bad publicity.
>>92134251
Her Onslaught/The Crossing outfit was pretty good.
>>92134209
Sure, but considering the circumstances, it's time she moved past that. IMO anyway.
>>92134336
Silliest was in the first year or two of Ultimate X-Men, where she just wore her 616 costume without the body stocking. Made no sense if Ultimate was trying to be more realistic.
Also for some reason she could fly in the Ultimate universe but not in 616.
>>92133378
No fuck you, that outfit was painfully generic garbage.
18, 20 & 25 do what your asking for much better then it did.
So is having her on HYDRA Avengers good or bad for her? On the one hand it's exposure and some time with her ex but on the other she's teamed up with that Thor who has a dick and three bad guys. Also Deadpool.
>>92134336
Needs cleavage but yeah it was great.
>>92133378
Sue, Wasp, Black Widow and Medusa, should be portrayed as a few years older than Wanda, Jean, Polaris or Crystal, all of whom shouldn't really be portrayed as over 30. Wanda and Pietro, along with most of the original X-Men, should be the same age as Peter Parker and Johnny Storm, who will never, ever be allowed to reach 30.
None of Marvel's Silver Age heroines should be getting wearing slutty costumes in canon, and even that pic's cleavage is probably too much. Wanda should always be modest, classy and dignified.
Fan-art is another matter. Everyone's gonna get slutty fan-art.
>>92134779
You're a weird prude. Wanda has always had boobs and liked showing them off a bit.
>>92133812
Wanda/Doom is one of the only non-Vision ships that isn't a Worst Ship Ever, it's an interesting idea, but it's hard to see it working without compromising the identity of one of them. Either Doom has to genuinely reform and mellow-out, or Wanda has to turn evil. Neither of those things is a good idea.
While Doom is at least trying to reform, there really should be a story where he and Wanda meet, but it would be written by Bendis or Waid, so it would not be good.
>>92134825
There are 30 years of comics before anyone gave her a cleavage-baring costume, anon. And no-one liked that first Force Works costume. Back in the 1960s to 1980s, a character could be super-busty without needing to show any skin.
With Marvel's obsession with movie synergy it wil be interesting to see how they respond to the Scarlet Witch & Vision romance finally becoming a thing in the movies next year.
Of course Wanda hasn't actually benefited from movie synergy because she's an unclean shared-rights character, so who knows.
>>92134195
Well, in that story Simon was written as literally the only Avenger who wasn't the world's worst friend to Wanda. He sort of spoke for her fans about how she'd been treated from 2004-2010.
Also the way Wolverine & Cyclops were written in this story there may be something to the idea that Brevoort's office hates the X-Men.
>>92133729
She'll always have Papa Chthon and Uncle Set.
But all we got in her solo comic was Emerald Borelock.
>>92134936
Well, to be fair, around that time Doom wasn't EEVVIIIIIL. He was still a bad guy, but nowhere near Unthinkable levels.
And like you said, now's the perfect time for a reunion. Waid I don't trust with Doom, though we'll see this Wednesday in Avengers #7.
But Bendis has been doing a good job with Victor over at Infamous. His "voice" is actually pretty good, and has none of the Bendisisms. Though I don't trust him with Wanda, so there's that problem.
Whatever the case may be, Doom needs a reunion with Stephen and Wanda, but I don't think with current Marvel that's gonna happen.
>>92135087
They should bring back this character who kept asking Avenger ladies to be buxom models
>>92135087
She had translucent pink hose stuff over her boobs. That's more lewd than plain cleavage.
>>92134447
Wanda, Vision and Thor are going to be villains in this year's Marvel Event, people are going to be calling them Nazis, and unlike Deadpool, they don't have solo books where time can be taken to explore how they ended up here, and how they see the error of their ways.
It's hard to see how any good can come of this. It initially sounded like it was going to be "old Avengers are all Hydra, new replacement heroes are the resistance", but the resistance has Hawkeye, Black Widow, Quicksilver, Ant-Man, Hercules, and they even brought back Tigra and Wonder Man.
Along with Thor and Vision, Wanda was singled out to be a villain, and that isn't good.
>>92133812
I am hoping Chthon shows up in the MCU because he shows how hugely fucking important Wanda is in the mystic universe, and how important the mystic universe actually is.
The whole lore of the Elder Gods came from Wanda, not Strange. Yet so many people think the mystic universe is just Strange.
>>92135167
She only offered the job to Wanda & Carol but she really ought to have her own comic
>>92135197
It wasn't translucent, it was the same pink that covered her arms and legs.
>>92135228
Maybe she's still hot for Steve Rogers. Most Avengers are.
>>92135280
Which was see through.
>>92135232
Same. Chthon showed up in Carnage as Cthulhu: Marvel Version. The thing with Marvel is that the hierarchy of the gods and demons is just all over the place. Over at DC there is a certain structure, but Marvel's put together the Cosmic Beings with the Magical Beings, not bothered to come up with a plan, and now you've got a muddled U that you can't make sense of.
>>92134159
M-Day has turned the mutant angle into a total dead end. Because writers kept bashing Wanda over M-Day, it's just become impossible to involve Wanda with the X-Men.
The Elder Gods are a huge wellspring of story possibilities, and have been ridiculously underused.
Marvel's mystic universe has been reduced to almost nothing.
Blade is the character I would love to see Wanda interact with alot more.
I even ship them.
>>92135119
Well, Marvel Studios decided in 2012 that they were going to include Wanda and Vision in the 2nd Avengers movie, and start building towards their romance. Marvel Comics must have been aware of this, and chose to put them both in different books almost all of the time, while doubling down on "Wonder Man is Wanda's true love, Vision is a copy of Wonder Man".
Remender is gone now, but there are very few people within Marvel who like Wanda or Vision. And Brevoort is never going to go away, is he?
>>92135324
It's not see-through, it's just skin-tight. Like most superhero costumes were.
>>92135417
I'm hitting into some very old anons childhood innocence, aren't I?
>>92135375
I agree that anything related to the Mystic side is a weelspring of stories, but that's mostly because of it being untapped. Hell, even the High Evolutionary and his weird Chthonic shenanigans aren't even that explored.
Blade x Wanda though? Nah, I'll pass. he was good with Spitfire. Beyond the main ships, Doom x Wanda is the only one I like. It's just perfect.
As for more interactions, she needs more time with Stephen. The guy delivered her kids back in the day.
>>92135119
They will ignore it.
Also, the unclear shared rights thing has little to do with it; they were shitting on Wanda well before that became an issue.
She's seen as pre-feminist, she's not a quipper, she's sincere, she is not a Mary Sue.
Wanda is tied to three aspects of the MU:
Avengers
X-Men
Mystic
Bendis burned the bridges of two, leaving only the latter, which Marvel gives no fucks about.
>>92135228
>>Wanda, Vision and Thor are going to be villains in this year's Marvel Event, people are going to be calling them Nazis, and unlike Deadpool, they don't have solo books where time can be taken to explore how they ended up here, and how they see the error of their ways.
With Thor, it's easy: he implicitly trusts Cap, and Cap Keikaku has been shown wielding Mjollnir, whoch would remove all and any doubt from Thor's mind that trusting Cap is the right thing to do.
Vision is either getting reprogrammed(Future Vision in Kang War suggested his brain patterns would be changed from Wonder Man's to somebody else at some point) or just thinks this is the most logical chain of events
Wanda... I have no idea.
>>92135390
True but they did make sure that when Avengers 2 came out Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Vision would all be in the same book.
So next year they'll probably have some synergy thing for a few months and then retire Wanda again like they did during Secret Wars (the only thing she was in was that stupid House of M mini and she was asleep for a lot of it)
>>92135352
not really.
You have the Abstract at the highest positions.
Lower, there is anything powerful enough.
>>92134396
does anyone know in which issues 8 and 13 are featured?
>>92135570
That's probably right. They'll put them in the same book for about 5 issues, but nothing will happen between them, and that will be all.
>>92135643
#8 is from West Coast Avengers, #55-7 and #60-62.
#13 is from Avengers vol.2 #4.
>>92135558
Marvel said "this is a heroes versus villains story", which now looks increasingly like a Freudian slip.
They think of Wanda, Vision, and Thor, as villains.
>>92132927
>Attractive
>Gypsy
That's a contradiction!
>>92135497
I feel the MCU is going to focus on her relationship with Strange alot going forward.
>>92135724
I swear at one point they said CW2 wouldn't have a shock death then Banner was killed right away.
It's like Marvel editorial knows exactly what fans are sick of, and what they want and they take joy in never giving it to us.
>>92133755
Hope we get more Viv/Wanda material after SE.
>>92135742
Women go sour fairly quick, maybe the young ones can be decently attractive?
What is the genetic heritage of gypsies? Are they most closely related to (continental) Indians? I'm assuming as a nomadic people there is a large drift from constant interbreeding with the populations they visit, they're like... slavic-indians? When they do the slav squat they poop in the streets, then?
>>92134364
>Also for some reason she could fly in the Ultimate universe but not in 616.
I think it's just because Millar wasn't really that familiar with the characters. Case in point is how he handled Wolverine's healing abilities. Of course since it was an alt universe they handwaved it.
>>92135724
>>Marvel said "this is a heroes versus villains story",
being antagonists don't make them villains.
Also, Marvel lies
>>92135966
So long as Waid does not write it. I fear he has flanderized Viv to the point every other writer will write Waid-Viv.
>>92134364
>>92135592
Eh, it's muddled what with all the Sets, Agammotos, Dormammus and the like.
>>92135823
Good. Strange and Wanda are a Top Tier Mentor/Student "Ship".
>>92133729
That line about the Avengers is so true.
Was Heinberg making a dig at Bendis and Hickman's "random work colleague" Avengers. I like to think so.
>>92136209
Jason Aaron doesn't even know the Serpent's Crown is multiversal.
>>92136209
They perfectly set it up with that scene with Ancient One talking to Strange in her final moments.
>>92136944
DESU, Aaron doesn't know jackshit about Marvel magic...
As for Wanda, I hope so. Derickson shared a pic of two Wanda/Strange cosplayers a while back as well, so here's hoping.
>>92135119
Vision is in such a weird place character wise in the comics that I can't see him in a relationship with anyone.
I just rewatched 2014 Godzilla. Olsen might be a bad actress, but she's very cuddleable. Fits wanda.
>>92138147
>Olsen might be a bad actress
She isn't.
>but she's very cuddleable
Most certainly.
>>92138405
Well not bad, but not great either. To be honest, not many great female actresses anyway.
And Olsen Wanda is for cuddling and ticklefights!
>>92138147
Watch Martha Marcy May Marlene or Liberal Arts.
>>92137069
>>92138627
I'm not biased, my comment isn't meant to imply that, I'll keep the movies in mind.
But seriously. Could the title be more womanly?
>>92138032That's a crossover of thighs I want to see.
>>92138487
sigh...
>>92138487
I bet she's really ticklish.
>>92138727
Where do you think she's most ticklish, anon?
>>92138751
Hmmm...inside the knees and her ankles...and I like to think her thighs.
>>92135147
It was a shame, Wanda could use more villains that aren't Elder Gods, more down-to-Earth villains she could have a proper rivalry with, and what she got was that guy.
>>92139101
I thought thighs too. Mhm.
>>92137824
Waid started that "Vision deleted his emotions" plot, and doesn't seem to be going anywhere with it, then the Vision solo book happened, and no-one's really spent much time on him since, so he's just left "in a weird place" indefinitely.
>>92139179
Wanda could work with a Walleresque villain who'd play psychologically with her too, on whether there should be mutants, whether Wanda should help the system and so on.
>>92135497
Has Wanda even met Blade ever?
More interaction with Strange as an ally or mentor would be good, but not as a couple.
>>92133729
>She and Vision should just start their own team or something.
Oh I like this. They could set up in California and invite Hawkeye and Tigra. Now what would we call this team of west coast based Avengers?
>>92135966
>>92136062
>End up having Wanda and Vision get back together to raise Viv, and Wanda teaches her to be the world's first robot witch
Fund it.
>>92140244
Sadly, Bendis has poisoned the idea of Wanda and Hawkeye as friends working together.
Unless you meant the other Hawkeye?
>>92133058
Oh my. We need this to be a scene in Infinity War.
>>92141245
It needs to be one of the longest scenes, almost as long as the cuddling scenes.
Best Wanda
>>92140427
>Sadly, Bendis has poisoned the idea of Wanda and Hawkeye as friends working together.
Reeeeee Bendis.
>>92142168
where dis from?
>>92142679
Spawn the Animated Series.
>>92140400
The comic we deserve, but shall never have.
Viv should be the next Sorcerer Supreme
Billy a shit
>>92140400

>Wanda Thread
>RessurXion
did I miss some news?
>>92135228
I feared as much but I was hoping for an unforeseen upside.
post more /u/
>>92162890
Well, she's on that pic Quesada did to promote the new era coming after Secret Empire, and back in her classic costume, Thor is also there, back in his 2007 costume. So the upside is they'll still be around.
>>92144612
They have no sexual chemistry
>>92159076
She's Hydra now. Hail Wanda.
>>92163649
Hail Chthonda, more like.
>>92162991
> Back in her classic costume.
That implies she only appears in flashback, as in, "remember Wanda?"
>>92140400
A few weeks back CapedJoel suggested a comic where Wanda and Vision run a supernatural detective agency.
>>92164085
But it's part of an "everyone back in old costumes that people liked better" pic.
Except for Carl Manvers, who's staying the same.
>>92164129
Yessssssssssssssss.
>>92164181
They can't change Carol now, not with the movie getting close to release. For better or worse they're stuck in the cul-de-sac of nobody except marvel writers and editors liking what they've done with Carol but also being totally paralyzed to change it.
>>92164283
Will this result in Carol's old fanbase boycotting the movie and hoping it bombs so she can go back to her old costumes?
Whatever the comics are trying to do with her, it's not working, and no-one wants to read it. They should probably put her in limbo for a while, wait and see what the MCU does, then copy that.
>>92164375
They will almost certainly stick with the Captain Marvel gig and costume for a few years after the movie. Only once it's not recent news anymore or if there's some major shakeup at Marvel is there a chance of a recovery with Carol. For fuck's sake she was almost on the road to it with the Frazekas/Butters run but then that ended and got fucked in the ass by Civil War II before it even had time to hit the ground.
This "Carol is Marvel's Wonder Woman" shit is so fucking stupid. Nobody likes it. Nobody buys her titles because NOBODY SYMPATHIZES WITH HER ANYMORE. How is this hard to understand?
>>92132927
Keep this thread going until Photoshop Anon from the last thread returns.
There's one version of Wanda nobody ever EVER talks about.
For good reason, probably.
>>92164651
That cartoon was not kind to her.
>>92138147
Be fair, she wasn't given much to work with in Godzilla. And no-one watches a Godzilla movie for the humans.
>>92164700
I kinda liked the accent honestly.
>>92159076
Nah, just a fancy title.
>>92164552
You got it anon.
>>92165188
>>92165608
This is far too slutty for Wanda.
>>92164700
Pretty much to anyone with Telepathy powers. Jean Grey before the pheonix and Sue storm were useless.
>>92164233
Kingggg.
>>92162977
>>92165152
Her accent was better in the 1990s Avengers cartoon, and then in the MCU, but we may not have had those without this coming first.
>>92136209
>Good. Strange and Wanda are a Top Tier Mentor/Student "Ship".
NO, Strange and Magik were the best team. Fuck off.
>>92166926
>Mutie
>Best
Pick one anon.
>>92165637
She wasn't a telepath in that cartoon, her powers were just whatever the plot required her powers to be. Same for that alien guy, who was just a teleporter in the comics.
>>92166574
>>92167579
All mutie memes aside, Magik would tear Wanda a new asshole.
>>92167960
Well, Illyana has actually trained and is more disciplined, plus, Hell-Lord, duh, so I think that she has a slight edge. but Wanda has more raw power. It's just that nobody bothered to really make her practice enough, so...
>>92166926
The story of the Ancient One, of how she uses magic in the Doctor Strange movie, creates a perfect set-up for Stephen/Wanda friendship mentorship feels.
>>92167609
>She wasn't a telepath in that cartoon, her powers were just whatever the plot required her powers to be. Same for that alien guy, who was just a teleporter in the comics.

You will never make vows to love each other forever.
You will never swear to protect Wanda and never let anyone hurt her again.
You will never make love to Wanda every night.
You will never hold Wanda as she falls asleep in your arms.
You will never retire with Wanda and raise a family.

FYI for every Marvel year passes approximately 4.25 Earth years passes. Taken from FF1 in 1961 as the start of the Marvel age about 13 Marvel years have passed.
>>92170326
Do they even care about that heat? They're run by people like Brevoort who believe controversy is good, stories people hate sell more, and their characters can recover from any damage.
Unless they're revealed as brainwashed, we may be in for years of casuals claiming Wanda, Vision and Thor are Nazis, and writers "punishing" them for it.
>>92169765
I'd spend all my money on Lizzie Cuddles.
I'd work my ass off to get more of the Olsen-snuggling.
>>92174323
> Brevoort thinks pissing readers off is good when in fact it just makes people not want to buy your comics. Marvel's poor sales are due to alienating readers.
> I feel Chthon's (if it is indeed him) gonna tell Wanda every little shitty detail about Steve Rogers. He just won't be able to stop himself from smugly blabbing about it. Wanda can see what's going on even if she is not in control.

>>92178324
I think that was the case with most people.
Lizzie, their brother and their two half-siblings pretty much grew up outside of the spotlight.
Then when Lizzie got into showbusiness, she did mostly indie flicks which most folks tend to overlook since I think they don't get proper theatrical releases. It took AoU and Godzilla for her to really break out in the public eye.
I really wish I was able to pay attention to that stuff back then and not have to wait till two big-budget films to find out about her.

I don't think so. But regardless, since she's part of the main Avengers they probably wouldn't allow it, affordable or not.
>>92180122
Oh hello
>>92179357
>Feel like Elizabeth Olsen is affordable enough to appear in tv shows
Surprise Cameo on Agents when?! I would love to have her fuck AIDA's shit up with some hex bolts.
>>92180995
Since she has no connection to Coulson, her learning he's alive is no big deal and could even keep it a secret like Sif
>>92181034
>and could even keep it a secret like Sif
Who has mysteriously disappeared... I know Jamie Alexander got hurt and all, and has a TV show, but I can't help but wonder what it would mean for Sif in the MCU. Be it Loki having sent her away on a mission to make her disappear and scatter Thors allies, or something more sinister.
>>92181149
Probably write her off for Ragnarok like they've done for Pepper
>>92180995
>Surprise Cameo on Agents when
Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch mini series when? Cumberbatch's the main character on Sherlock, so it's possible
>>92181351
Sherlock was continually pushed back for other commitments. I doubt he's keen to go back to TV. Although Agents has been pretty good at utilizing it's CG budget, I fear a show with Strange and Wanda would suffer from Firestorm syndrome.
>>92181461
Strange and Wanda doing shit with their hands doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Doesn't have to be a trippy estravaganza like the Doctor Strange film
>>92180122
Wow. Hail Wanda.
>>92181852
Hail.
>>92133378
Scarlet Witch is an old hag. Generally every superheroine introduced before the 2000s is.

>>92181243
They've basically replaced her with Valkyrie.
>>92187086
Shame we're gonna get no more Sif, I kinda liked her
>>92187086
>>92187262
Depending on how Ragnarok goes, SHIELD could do a storyline about Asgardian refugees or some shit, Sif could pop up. They've had her in the past, though they'll probably have to work around Jaimie Alexander's schedule. If it wasn't for Blindspot I'd totally be on board for her joining the team
>>92187262
Yeah, its a shame, and unfortunate that Jamie had that accident.
>>92187868
>Asgardian refugees
Would this lead into a Dark Reign type story? They've got Spidey, they have the rights to Osborn.
>>92188402
Don't think Agents of SHIELD would be allowed to use Spider-Man or Norman Osborn, but something can come out from the fallout of Ragnarok in the movies
>>92188481
They can still use Justin Hammer. And I would love some follow up on the Mandarin while we're at it!
>>92188382
>and unfortunate that Jamie had that accident.
Oh wow, I didn't even know about this. Never really paid attention to this kind of stuff
>>92188542
Mandarin in Agents of SHIELD would actually be kinda cool. Iron Man's trilogy's up, so it's not like the real Mandarin can face Iron Man, and Agent Carter even used Madame Masque, an Iron Man villain
Do not die.
>>92189785
Aww, thanks, y'know I've been feeling really down lately and-
Oh, you mean the thread
>>92189861
Haha Kek.
>>92187052
>>92188608
They'll probably do an Iron Man 4 as a proper send off. RDJ has been worth bringing in for Spider-Man and Avengers, Disney might consider at least one more solo film.
>>92191284
>RDJ has been worth bringing in for Spider-Man and Avengers
That's because he's the face of the MCU. They seem content with giving him pseudo sequels with Homecoming and Civil War, continuing his character arc there, even giving him a villain in the former
Wanda's beautiful smile.
So rare, and so precious.
>>92191630
Because they don't know what they're doing?
>>92191707
Makes me want to kiss her
>>92191630
>>92191722
Because when a character doesn't change for fifty years straight people stop bothering to read about nothing happening.
Marvel isn't DC, they aren't going to shove the same old shit down the throats of future generations that they shoved down the throats of your grandparents.
Marvel does character arcs, they do character development, they evolve the comics into the next thing.
Name the personal progress that any single DC character has made. Go on, I dare you. Is it even still the current canon?
>>92191747
Kiss her,and cuddle her, and snuggle her, and tickle her, and lick her all over.
>>92172805
Doom never got past stage 1 of that list, did he? Magneto and the Avengers stopped his wedding day.
>>92186425
Very nice, very Cho-styled.
>>92191943
Do we need to have Company Wars in a Wanda Thread? DC is only on-topic in "do DC have a character that is a copy of Wanda?"
Marvel don't reboot, but they do repeat themselves. They keep repeating Wanda plots no-one wants;
- Wanda gets controlled or possessed by a villain.
- Wanda becomes an insane villain.
- Worst Wanda-ship with Wonderman.
- Change how Wanda's powers work again.
>>92174288
Civil War through to Seige took less than a year.
>>92193686
True, but he would've, if it weren't for those pesky Avengers and X-Men ruining everything!
>>92194925
This. They just rinse and repeat the old formula, because she is an afterthought to Marvel writers, sadly.
You see a big contrast in how the Russo's/M&M handle her; actual thought goes into her characterization.
>>92193555
That turned fetishy
>>92197713Or not fetishy enough?
>>92135541
But Wanda is strong in her own way. She doesn't give up, is fiercely loyal to her family, friends, and others she protects, and can get scary when she needs to be.

not much, they are even playing it straight with Carol being aware of how bullshit her place as "world's #1" in her own book
>>92207365
I'll grant you that, it's part of the reason I come to them.
>>92208281
It seemed like it was something he kept having to do, so he's not completely emotionless, but has no emotional connection to anyone or anything from before he started this, and can't really develop any lasting feelings about things if he keeps doing this.
It sets up the possibility of an eventual resolution, where he can re-upload it all back into himself, but it's hard to have any faith in modern-day Waid that this is going anywhere.
>>92210000

Thanks, anon. Nice to see when Wanda was allowed to be happy.
>>92210243
Champions is terrible, Avengers is just OK. It may look better than it is because so many of Marvel's books are so bad.
Waid may be handling most of the Avengers lineup fine, but his run opened with Vision paying a visit to Wanda so her could remove his emotions right in front of her. That's so cruel, it makes it hard to have any faith in Waid resolving this well.
>>92208272
And these lines (probably misremembered some):
"Love is for souls, not bodies."
"Till the stars burn out, Wanda."
"If you were to put me and Wanda together, you would almost get a normal person."
"I control all that is abnormal, I control Chaos, and because I control Chaos...I control YOU!"
>>92213568
Wada was Vision's test AFTER he removed the emotions: if she didn't manage to make him feel anything then he was fine.
Cruel? That's only for an emotive being...
>>92214143
Didn't it take effect mid-way through their conversation? That's why he stopped seeing his memories of her, and why he suddenly changes at the end of the story.

>Nice to see when Wanda was allowed to be happy.

>>92283193
She appears to basically just have telekinesis and psychic powers actually.
>>92283216
That can grow into something more
>>92283216
Right, but what manifests now as red energy that can move things and affect minds is hinted to potentially be more. Wanda mentioned specifically not knowing what it is in Civil War, and I think Feige dropped some hints about a similarity between Doctor Strange's extradimensiknal power magic and her powers, that while his is ordered, hers is chaotic.
>>92283224, >>92283239
I guess? I dunno, so just called what I saw.
I liked the pre-Byrne explanation for how Wanda's powers worked; everyone else needs to either study the shit out of stuff to use magic or take shortcuts by borrowing power or using mystical gadgets, but Wanda's mutant power gave her a natural affinity for it.
Thing is, magic involves low-key messing with reality for specific effects and she had no idea what she was doing, so at first her powers exhausted her and she had little to no control over them at all. Then Harkness came along and taught her to actually control what she did by teaching her some real sorcery.
>>92283275
Buisek also used that explanation, though for him I think it was kind of a way to explain why her "probability altering" powers caused stuff to happen that was actually 100% impossible rather then simply improbable.

The mind stone augmented her mind, enabling her to access latent powers that were already placed there, probably at birth. Obviously the first powers sge uses would be mind related as a result.
Wanda does not move things with her mind (as she says in Lagos before the incident), she moves them with her emotions.
