Not goiing to be super social tonight. Grading to be done (and some drinking). Here's some Hawkeye though. Hope yall enjoy.
Send bumps if you can!
>I know they're expensive but I'd super appreciate it
Everything about this page rubs me the wrong way. It's seriously feels like Fraction was writing a sitcom.
>Oh what crazy antics will Clint get into next?
>Cue Laugh track

Thank you kind anon.
I'm not going to lie, I love this issue.

We know you do, Kate. We know you do.

I'm 99% certain it's intentional parody.

Thank god.

Oh shit, Hawkguy's gonna take a ride in the 4chan party van.
>underage apprentices
Not even once.
>>92119174
In *my* comic, people get shot when other people point guns at them and pull the trigger. Not this 18(00) perfect dodge bullshit that all street level capes seem to have.
On that note, how far are you on the script for yours?

Goddamnit the only reason I read all of this was to find out why everyone had cards on their forehead in the beginning but they didn't answer it at all.
/co/ seemed to turn on this later in the run, but I still enjoy it. It's certainly better than anything Marvel's releasing right now.
>>92120038
Fuck you Ultimates is perfect
>>92119829
I don't remember the rules exactly, but it's some kind of party game where you don't know what card was stuck to your forehead, and you draw instructions to do stuff to people who have cards that match certain criteria. In some versions it can just keep going, and in others you win by being the first person to figure out what card you have.

I didn't like it from day one. I like the premise behind it and appreciate what the series is, but I hate the characterizations of the leads and want nothing to do with them. Aja art makes this worth posting alone.

Sorry for teh delay. Punching in grades atm. Tonight I finish two of my classes and tomorrow I'm going to make a trip to campus and not leaving until my work is done. Which means I might end up sleeping in my office.
Grading grading grading. Drinking my way to a higher class average
Thanks dude.
Personally I actually like this, but I also hate it because of all the series it spawned trying to copy the same style.
>>92121682
Thats the best Kate picture on the lower left.
Cute!
>>92122359
ah the Watchmen effect I wish you weren't a thing.
>>92122663
Would people even care that she's an avenger? Most marvel citizens are shitheads
>>92122741
Still have a boner for the 3x3 grid. Part of me wants to go back and rescript my series in that format, but I've come too far using the 2x4 to go back now. Much too far
On the one hand I like what they did with bringing Kate into this detective story format.
On the other hand it feels like they had to drastically reduce her capabilities in order to make her fit into this kind of story. Back in the Mandripoor arc she was wading to crowds of Hydra and AIM goons with her bare fists and coming out on top, now she gets beaten up by just a pair of bellhop goons.

It sounds really bad when you put it like that.

In Fantastic Four #584 they call it the Floating Super Hero Poker Game
I....hate....grading....Maybe I should just give As to everyone....
>>92118404
Right around this point was where I fell off this book. Plot starting going nowhere and too much drama was based around Clint and his harem.
>>92123388
>On the other hand it feels like they had to drastically reduce her capabilities in order to make her fit into this kind of story.
I prefer that to the 'X is perfect! Everyone loves X! YAAAS QUEEN!' thing they've been doing lately.

Absolutely amazing time to drop off. I didn't start getting interested again into weirdly this issue. Clint and Barney have great chemistry and I've always enjoyed Trickshot (loved him in Dark Avengers, want to see more).
>>92123953
The issue I had with Barney in Dark Avengers was that the team didn't have much interaction between themselves, the arc was mostly them reacting to this really messed up version of New York. I would have liked an extra issue or two showing them meeting up with the Parkerbolts.
>>92124012
Same. Wish Parker had continued on with that series in a new ongoing or something along those lines.
I hope everyone enjoyed teh tales of Hawkguy. See you guys tomorrow/today
Thanks for the storytime OP, good luck with the job.
>>92123921
I'd agree with you that a lot of Marvel's titles go way too far in the opposite direction, but there's got to be a better space in between. I mean you've got supervillains with stolen/reverse engineered SHIELD tech, you should be able to make them a threat to anyone, even if they are a super-martial-artist.
>>92123856
I think the issue is that depression and self-hate tend to be by their very nature irrational, so making it into something that an unconnected person can relate to is difficult. I think this comic did a lot of things right, but trying to make Clint act like an ass because he's genuinely troubled as opposed to just looking like an ass is something I think this comic failed at.

>trying to make Clint act like an ass because he's genuinely troubled as opposed to just looking like an ass is something I think this comic failed at
but he is an ass in this comment he's trying to be better but he still an ass
Is there a link to the previous fraction thread anywhere?

Oh man. OH MAN.
This is my least favourite comic I have ever bought and this series is one of my favourites. Holy shit.
