No, that picture is actually Sue. They passionately make out at the end of the issue after Sue stopped trying to find Reed, and instead went to look for Namor. She lamented that there were too many obstacles between them for it to work. Obstacles like her marriage, I suppose.

I used to think it was hilariously stupid too but upon reading the run there's actually a reason behind it (aforementioned Malice tomfoolery making Sue more assertive/impulsive/bitchy) AND the writer/cast treat it as every bit the awkward OOC mid-life crisis you'd think it would be.
I'm honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed DeFalco's run, given the horror stories. It made me think a lil' less of the guy who cottoned me onto it, since he was all URGH SUE'S A WHORE NOW GAWD as though he'd not actually read it himself.

DeFalco's FF is underrated and gets a lot of heat because of how bad an EiC he was and how he used his position to give himself his dream gigs. Like writing Fantastic Four.

Now, I'm not gonna say that his FF is amazing or anything. But it's cozy as fuck and has a solid grip on the characters. Plus, it had a lot of nice little things going for it. Johnny/Lyja, Johnny acting like an adult, bearded Reed, leader Sue, Namor, Scott and Cassie Lang, Nathaniel being Nathaniet. Lots of nice stuff. If I had a complaint it would be that I don't recall it being a very strong run for Ben. Though, it's been ages since I read it.

Sue Richards should never be portrayed as a whore or as a slut.
