I was one of those people who constantly shat on Lars and dreaded and Lars episodes. BUT, the good Lars was good combined with him not being a complete asshat and good animation. Kind of showed what he could be like if he wasn't such a huge dick. While I'm not entirely happy that he was the townie to go on this trip, I think he was the one who needed some character development the most. In both of the episodes where he was featured he showed potential development and then cancelled it out by reverting to his old ways. Maybe after he gets back from his ship trip that consisted of long talks with Steven in a jail cell, he won't be as bad anymore.

Doug Out and The good Lars felt like filler garbage, I felt like I had to force myself to get through them but I get how they were important for this bomb
I watched Lion 4 when it leaked and I still find it a pretty nice and comfy episode, no point in that it was just revealed what Steven's name would be if he was a girl but at least it shows that Steven is starting to ask the important questions and that he isn't some special snowflake

I really tried to like this. I did. but it's basically The Return done right...except it's still wrong. in The Return, Jasper and Peridot come to Earth to check on the Cluster (primary mission). They confirm the Crystal Gems are there, and Rose Quartz is there too (verified by Jasper). Jasper, based on her characteriation, should have been thrilled to capture the murderer of her Diamond, and absconded with the CGs back to Homeworld immediately. Instead, they stay in Earth orbit, allowing for the Jailbreak. amidst all this, no one ever bothers even transmitting to Homeworld that they have captured war criminals, including the shatterer of Pink Diamond.

then in this, Homeworld invades again to capture humans from The Steven's list (primary mission). Upon identifying that there are war criminals on the planet, they again don't care...until Steven reveals he is Rose Quartz to a gem that has no idea who Rose Quartz is (aside from stories...doesn't recognize Rose's sword or shield). She then IMMEDIATELY warps to Homeworld.
