This sounds about right. This show's biggest failure to reach its full potential stems from the crew lacking the balls to commit to a long-term change in setting and circumstance for the characters. Season 1 did a good job treading the line between episodic and serial, but the cohesion between episodes in later seasons feel more like oil and water.

She was made to be a soldier for Pink Diamond, has been trying to deal with not being able to live up to her birth title of "the perfect quartz" and not having a purpose ever since PD died, and has expressed shame in trying to find a new purpose and feel like less of a failure by serving under Yellow Diamond.

I think it would be better if she learned to forgive herself and learned to accept not having a purpose like the other Earth quartz soldiers learned to do with each other. She has suffered enough and isn't dead, and there is so much we don't know about what really happened between Rose and PD that her character doesn't have a lot of closure.
